  8. We march in 3-4 parades a year. The biggest of course in Plymouth, Mass in November. All nine corps appearing in the reunion show that night march in the parade. The other parades usually have the same contingent of Defenders, Crusader Seniors and St. Kevin's. Throw in the Crusaders and Citations during July parades.
  9. Parade should be good as well let's pray for warm weather. Lat year was brutal.
  10. Here's a couple of pictures of the rolling racks we use for parades. Click below for some pictures of them. Defenders Bass Rack Version 1 Defenders Snare Line Rack

  12. The alumni corps I march with uses stands for practices and performances. We just introduced a rolling bass drum rack and snare rack for parades. Personally I am a traditionalist. I prefer to carry at all times.

  17. That's like saying a baseball fan does not know about the teams of the past or cares about it. You need to expose people to the earlier years so they see and understand how far the activity has come. This would lead to a better appreciation of the art. Sure Time did well and I think the exposure is great. "don´t forget yor history nor your destiny." =Bob Marley
  18. Again, as I staed several posts before. I give credit to the writing of the article. However, there should have been a stronger consideration given to the corps who paved the way for the modern drum corps. Obviously, if you put Spirit of Atlanta as a top 10 corps performance. Then where do you put the Blue Devils in 79/80 whose music changed the way books were written or Garfield 1983/84 and the dawn of today's modern drill design. I know that some of you are too young to even fathom how they changed the face of drum corps or don't even remember DCI Finals when BD beat 27th Lancers by a tenth of a point.
  19. It does not matter if it the general public or DCI Fans. Accuracy, Fair and balanced reporting are key to proper reporting.
