  3. As founder, president, director, and CEO of the South Shore Performing Arts Society, or SSPAS, the parent group of the World Class Feenicks Drum & Bugle Corps, and the Open Class INT Drum & Bugle Corps, I am please the annouce that for the upcoming season, we will be adding a third corps to our mix! The newly formed A Class corps, named ERMISSION, will have the same goals as their counter-parts: have fun. Members of all three corps are not taught to care about scores, placements, or anything of the sort. They will be on the field to just perform for the audience, and have fun. And of course the corps and staff will provide each student a learning experience that they will remember for a life time. All three corps are still going through the last rounds of auditions, and in the middle of move-ins, and I'm proud to say all of the staff and marching members are all hard at work learning their show. But what each show is... I'll tell in due time.
  4. Well, everyone knows that every corps will at least get new guard uniforms.
  5. I predict the corps with the best overall show that's performed the best will win.
  6. And it's my intention to field Feenicks and INT... with a possible change. I'll make an announcement about it soon... But welcome!
  7. So, this thought has been going around in my head for awhile. Maybe someone with either corps, or this has happened to can shed some light on this for me. Lets say someone tries out for either BD or SCV, but the staff doing the auditions doesn't quite like the auditionee for the A corps, but thinks the auditionee would be 'perfect' for the B/Cadet corps. I'm sure it has happened before, but does anyone know how often someone is 'cut' from BD and/or SCV, but given a spot in the B/Cadet corps?
  8. I have a complaint! I was just looking at the overall scores/rankings for World Class, and saw that Crimson Lions are in first place. Not's no major problem to me (I'd rather Feenicks be in first, though ), but what I do have a problem with is the fact that their score is a 127.295 Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the scores were out of 100 possible points?
  9. I hate to admit it, but I have been slacking on this a bit... Been kinda busy. But I am pleased to see that both Feenicks and INT are still doing very good and holding their own. Now that we're past the halfway mark in the season, I just wanna wish a "good luck" to everyone else in the rest of the season. /my niceness, begin my "mean" streak
  10. On behalf of Feenicks and INT, I would just like to say congratulations! I know how happy this makes you feel, since yesterday, also in Utica, Feenicks won their first show in World Class as well, and currently sitting in first place overall. But on the other hand... After taking a couple of days off, INT is currently sitting in last place overall in Open Class. But I know they've been working hard, and they will do very well (I hope...) in their next show.
  11. FIXED! Wait, so why did I have to give you my credit card information for?
  12. Not sure if they're planning on having one, but I know BDB, SCVC, Spartans, and Raiders have all had a cymbal line past few years.
  13. As in normal fashion for both corps, the members, instructional & support staffs, and BoD of Feenicks and INT don't care what scores and placements they get in shows. All they care about is entertaining the crowd- which they did! Although both corps didn't score or place very high, both corps got a standing-o from the audience. As director, I am very pleased by both performances. And as usual, both corps will be fighting our way to a higher rank come finals. EDIT- forgot a word.
  14. Sorry to hear this sad news. I hope everyone was fine after the earthquake... I would like, however, to extend a warm welcome to all of your members who might be interested in joining either Feenicks or INT. Both corps are always looking for and welcoming new members. In fact, INT is well known for even accepting new members between warm-ups for a show and the show, and putting them on the field that very night. So again, hope everyone is ok, and I hope all three corps come back out soon.
  15. On behalf of myself and my two corps, Feenicks and INT, I just wanna say welcome!
  16. What's the difference between this, and what BD and SCV deal with... then on top of that both of them have their cadet/B corps.
  17. There's nothing wrong about being mistaken on making a mistake. Unless you were mistaken on that, too... this could go on for awhile.

  19. Awesome! All look like very nice stadiums for a drum corps show. I can say for sure that as director of Feenicks and INT, I'm very excited for the season to start. The members have been practicing very hard these last couple of months, and can't wait for the first show to start entertaining the audiences. And as an f.y.i., I might have a "special announcement" planned, which I'll release soon...
  20. I don't know the years, and I forget his name at the moment, but during the mid-2000's, did Boston have a (male) member step out of the guard be be an assistant drum major when they needed one. And then he was head drum major for like a year or two...
