  1. Yes... and that is good..just don't want C2 to start a trend... Just my opinion.
  2. I know the mello soloists personally, and like the fact that CV does have a lot of older members....awesome
  3. I also believe that all-age should mean just that.. Their age limit isn't much more than DCI....
  4. Kidsgrove is what we need more of. Sorry to say, but some of the upper echelon corps do not have the right stuff..
  5. I have become a huge fan of Kidsgrove Scouts!!!!! I admire them for the dedication that made this incredible tour in the US even possible. I loved their show, and also the fact that there are a number of older folks doing such a high level show. To me that is what DCA is all about, and we need to see that it stays that way. At any rate...if I could do corps again, I would want to go to Kidsgrove....!!!!!! Thanks for a great performance. I love you guys. May you have continued success and like to see you take it all.
  6. Well...all this talk of rain brings up he year I was with Sun Devils, when the skies opened up during our performance at DCI Orlando in 2009. We had to leave everything out on the field and ducked under the stands because there actually had been some tornado warnings, in addition to the rain and lightning. The delay lasted a long time, and no one competed the rest of the evening, but did a standstill exhibition, for safety reasons, as the field was a swamp by that time. Every Sun Devil will remember Baba Yetu in their minds forever.
  7. I won't be around to see it Will, but hopefully for your sake drum corps will still exist...huh? :)
  8. And I turned 51 this year, so I am older than both of you. Really the Sun Devils NEED a few more older people. Th video is AWESOME by the way.
  9. And there is a good drum corps fan base in Mass, which I think would appreciate having some shows in the area.
  10. The one thing in life that stays the same, is the fact that everything is always changing. I don't think it's possible for them to not get beat at some point. I do think it will be next season. Because there are corps starting to catch up. The have set the bar of excellance high, and have made everyoone in DCA take note. But who will do it and how....I don't know.
  11. AHHH!!!!!!!!!! That's too funny. I love it! But I'm a sick puppy anyway.
  12. Cool!! Yeah, my 26"s are fiberglass, and they do seem to get heavier every year, cause my darned body is feeling it's age. But for me, there is nothing cooler than marching tymps.
  13. Yes I have, but not with today's drill styles. I also own 5, and my aluminum 20" is very light.
  14. YESSSSSSS!!!!! Marching tymps!!! Count me in!
  15. I would name my corps "Symphonic Breeze"
  16. Woo Hoo Alliance. I've been saying it all season. Great show. I'm thrilled for you all.
  17. JJ...where are you guys? Been watching the site for updates. I still have 5 1/2 hours before my flight, but soon I am going to be taking stuff out to the car. I am packed and kind of ready. Should be getting into ROC at 9:30 this evening.
  18. Hey Tom, Long time no see. I was Cozy's tymp player for Mirage many years ago. It was through a letter you gave him that he found me several years later. Hope I get a chance to say hello. I'll be with the Sun Devils. Another I would know like the Keith H and his wife still there? Good luck in mini-corps. Linda
  19. All right JJ!!! Looks like you guys are doing good time.
  20. I'm certain they're enroute from North Port! And pretty certain they've already passed the Tampa area. It won't be long Josh....really! Hey, I'll see you guys all on Friday am, most likely at the practice field. You all have a great trip. I'm still doing some last minute packing, but my flight doesn't leave till 6:59 tomorrow evening. Getting pretty anxious myself.
