  1. Who is all going and do we have any predictions on how the corps will do? I know I know the highest score wins but I want to see what people think before the show happens....
  2. I heard Cabs are doing well! new music program seems to be working well for them. I hope the visual folks can get their act together and put together an outstanding program. If they can I think they can win!
  3. If there is a corps that is going to contend its the Cabs! In 2007 the Cabs were .6 away from Reading in Prelims, Just to bad they didn't have a great Performance finals night. Now that Staff was able to do it, where did they all go?
  4. Was Dennis fired? What happened to Rich Templin? Can someone tell us the truth?
  5. Grenadiers “Without Warning” Selections from composer Stephen Melillo’s Stormworks: Timestorm, Before the Storm, Into the Storm How did they get the Rights to do Stormworks? Don't you need the Rights?
  6. What is your favorite DCA Visual show to watch and your favorite DCA Music book to listen too? Mine: Visual - Reading 2009 Music - Brigs 2000, Empire 2009, Reading 2005/2009 ( I can't pick here)
  7. I saw this corps in Reading and I thought the Visual Program was far superior then the rest. Yes, the Corps didn’t march well but the staging was great and the Color Guard was wonderful. I personally thought the music book was weak and the Percussion was way over balanced and way over written. It’s a shame you can’t keep the Visual folks…
  8. if i remember right from the Reading show: Cabs - 50 horns - 23 battery - 30 cg - 10 fe (im not positive about that) Bucs - 60 horns - 25 battery - 28 - 14 fe
  9. The only change I could see is getting rid of the size difference and having a true World Class and Open Class -- like WGI, based on level and experience.
  10. At my wedding, Cannon in D by Reading and Phantom Regiment... Reading (58 brass) and Phantom Regiment (64 brass) total brass playing playing Cannon in D would be.... 122 :-) 122 brass players at My wedding would be hot!
  11. I have seen Bucs a few times this summer (Wildwood and Scranton) and as far as I can remember they do not lay down anywhere in their show. They do a lot of dance work in Simple Song and it looks like it has been in since Wildwood.
  12. Great -- Who else is out there, Empire, Reading, Hurcs, Cabs, Bush, Brigs?
  13. Who are the top designers in DCA? We know the Corps but who are the people behind them?
  14. Really?!?! Have you seen how much Reading moves? Ask their members. Rumor has it they have a 130 plus pages of drill. Watch again, Watch the way they move the drumline, Watch how much the horns really do move. Watch how the CG is treated on the stage. Yes they do stand still at times but who doesn't? The last 3 minutes of the show is non stop and the last min they are running their a## off! 2009 DCA season has been wonderful! Reading is Reading with a demanding show. (the best show since the run started, IMO) Hurcs CG is amazing and that drumline is going to shake heads. Cabs move so well, just wish they played together. Their Horn book is outstanding IMO. Empire, by far the best show I have seen from them and Cg has to be the most improved section of 2009 season. MBI, it was great to see them so early. Don't count them out. Bush, Man if they could get horns in the early part of the season they would be great year after year!
