  1. this year reminds me of 90 in some ways... time will tell
  2. I guess we also need to keep in mind the drum score from last night - was not there so cannot judge the performance - but it was a bit off track from the gaps from prior shows Cadets Sunday 16.8 Coats Sunday 16.4 Cadets advantage by 0.4 Coats Tuesday 17.2 BD Tuesday 17.1 Coats advantage by 0.1 BD Wednesday 17.2 Cadets Wednesday 16.8 BD Advantage by 0.4 Comparitive would have suggested a Cadet advantage of 0.5 - or 0.9 swing
  3. So - down by a point and a program many feel doesn't have enough "wow" moments or "danger in the drill" Cadets seem to feel that cleaning and adding an expanded ending plus the uniform changes will keep them in it For me that's a recipe for a 3-5th place finish Still feel they need to shorten a few segments in parts 1 & 2 and add some "wow" moments Plus get some more use out of that stage Cleaning isn't going to be enough since frankly they are currently one of the cleaner corps out there...
  4. I'm right with you on this now. A week ago I thought it was a 3 way, now it feels like a 4 way. IMHO
  5. I'm right there with you on that one... nothing seems to line up - but thinking back over the past week Cadets/BC were flipping captions back and forth. The GE gap was consistent but the rest hasn't been
  6. yup - considering they beat Bloo in those captions on Sunday
  7. from BD official twitter thebluedevils 1 hour ago Have a great show, Cadets! #PromiseAnAmericanPortrait http://instagram.com/p/qQN56NReRB/ Classy!
  8. from Hopkins on FB: Cadets solid in a very old time a stadium . Not a wall to be found but good response from the crowd and the kids felt great about the performance Still over a month to go so tomorrow we are up and back to work I doubt scores will be up until about 1015 central time
  9. http://abc6onyourside.com/news/features/top-stories/stories/30ft-trailer-150k-equipment-stolen-capital-city-band-33017.shtml#.U732I7EW4jN GROVE CITY (Rob Wells/Sean Rowe) -- They've poured their hearts and savings into building a band. Now, all that is gone. Members of the Capital City Percussion group say they were stunned when they drove by Central Crossing High School in Grove City and noticed their 30-foot trailer -- containing $150,000 worth of percussion equipment -- was not there. It'd been stolen. The non-profit group is made up of musicians ages 13 to 21 who shell out up to $1,200 to become members and perform statewide. The groups say they think someone made off with the $12,000 Lark trailer that sat in the front parking lot of the school sometime Thursday. The Grove City Police Department says they're using license information to track down the trailer. Meanwhile, the 30-member group says they're postponing several upcoming performances until they replace or find their equipment. 10. so Pioneer should have finished up & we are at intermission assuming it is running on time Colts on next, followed by Cadets
  11. so Blue Saints should be done and Legends coming on...
  12. lol. Well I remembered a show in Ft. Wayne back then. I guess the lake view was some other time. North Side HS does sound familar.
  13. I'm actually not sure on this one. Part of me wants to say Cadets - they've had a couple days of reportedly very good practices and ensemble runs so they could have one of the classic Cadets surges tonight However the spread in GE BD had over Coats was impressive... so could offset any advantage Cadets have in performance captions. That's why I'd say the spread in GE is crucial deciding this one - a half a point spread to BD and it could be a tie. Less than a half a point spread in GE and Cadets might take it. My gut says BD by 0.3-0.6 / my heart says Cadets by 0.3

  15. Based on last night's spread I'd say Devils by about a half point of tonight. However if Cadets capture both brass and Percussion then it could flip the other way. It will come down to the spread in GE which I imagine will favor BD vs. Those performance captions.
  16. reminds me a lot of Suncoast Sound's Dances for the Contemporary Child show (sic?) - the one from 1988, but that one had a better visual concept it was highly underscored at the time, placing 10th I think at finals...
