  1. SCV front ensembles playing is just gorgeous
  2. Screamers are just like heck ya when the rest of the corps entered. Thats what I like to see.
  3. I got to mess with these drums at TMEA. The guys at system blue gave a bunch of us percussion directors a big product roll out demonstration. I really dig these drums. There are two versions if I remember correctly. They have the version that BD will use and the standard one that looks like every other standard drum on the market. The tenors were awesome what they did to the rims might mean the end of most rim clicks on sweep patterns.
  4. You hit the nail right on the head. I was in the front ensemble for two years. I think we were close because we never broke off that much like into sub sectionals. When sub sectionals came around we were still together unlike the basses or snares who broke off from the rest of the line. The pit still stays together so basically 24/7 we were together. I also think it has to do with loading the truck. We had to move like a well oiled machine to get that truck loaded and secured in a timely manner.
  5. This is usually the week they make changes. They also had an alumni day back in Milwaukee. Surf, mandarins, and crest were not there anyone know why they were not there?
  6. In 2009 I was an age out with pio. We rehearsed for week back in Milwaukee then we started second tour. Our first show was in central Kansas. That exceeds 500 miles. We had a couple of those trips
  7. I stayed up this late they better play when a man loves a woman dang it
  8. Alright come on down to north Louisiana
  9. I have a new 55" smart tv I'm watching if on
  10. Thanks you would think they'd take down the purchase for $20 sign on subscribers page
  11. It's my first year with live subscription I have the basic one yet it's still asking me to pay $20. Do I still have to pay
  12. I have friends in Crown and BAC but I still loved BK this year. Especially Molly on the Shore
  13. I have heard two people say it Louisiana needs one. I'm in North Louisiana and there are many DCi folks around here. 3 high school band directors and 1 college (that I know of) are regiment alums. Dr. Rinehart at ULM is the brass caption head for the glassmen. Northwestern state has multiple members in regiment and in cavies. There are a bunch who have marched corps in LA and some that have the ability but the distance is the biggest concern. We could support it most of the bands in North LA are strong and so is South LA if we had one I'm sure it would take off....as long as the words gator, swamp or Cajun stay out of the name
