  1. Come on! Troopers drum line is agreed to as being better than last year. They may not be top 12, but, they aren't going to lose because of them! The CG is a bit behind the other corps, but, they also have a lot more talent than in the recent past and can be right up there with the rest. The marching is extremely difficult and exposed. When Troop tightens down on their marching and visual, watch out! The hornline is a definate wild card. If they can be equal with Spirit I believe that the rest of the corps can rally and pull out a shocker. Troopers do not have the access to year-round marching that many of the other corps they are competing against have so when they are more comfortable with this part the rest of the show will really shine!
  2. Troopers 17th! I would just as well believe BD falling out of the top 8!
  3. The 12th spot will go to Troopers. They have a much more difficult marching book than the other competition and their hornline is excellent, their percussion solid and their CG, if they can clean their book, a huge improvement. The only way that Troop doesn't make finals is if they cannot clean their very difficult marching, otherwise, they will pull away in the last few weeks of the season and may even make it to 11th. (For the 11th Ohio)!
  4. I have to disagree! I think that both Colts and Troopers will give Gmen a run for their money. Troop tying them a few nights ago is not a fluke. I really believe that we will know more about what is going to really happen on the big show on the 12th. 12-16 could be any combination of Troopers, Gmen, Academy, Spirit and Colts. No one is going to run away with the last spot until the last week of the season. My money is on Troopers and Spirit being the last two duking it out on finals week!
  5. Close! Troopers 74.525 Colts 74.520 Glassmen 74.515
  6. I agree! Sometimes you have to be truthful about a corps, but, I didn't see you ragging on Pioneer for their lack of horns or Troopers for not having their old uniforms. I appreciate honesty but not "Mr. Nasty"!
  7. Alaska! They could use polar bears for the color guard, and if any of the judges really give them too low a score they can have lunch too!
  8. I love your positive reviews! Too many reviewers seem to think that they have to act like a New York Broadway reviewer and play nasty!
  9. Hawaii, and DCI should be forced to send the best 3 players from each corps to create an all-star Drum Corps! Then we should have DCI championships each year there!
  10. I still think that the midwest scores are about 2 to 2.5 points below comparable east coast scores this year. I think that Cavies are a point or so above Crown and Troop and Gmen are at the same level as Spirit! I am really looking forward to seeing these corps finally compete with the same judging panel!
  11. Troopers have always been stronger during the 2nd half of the season. If they are tied with Gmen now I think that they have a really good chance to leave them in their rearview!
  12. The more I hear, the more that I think I deserve a cookie!
  13. Looks like you have to add 2.5 - 3 points to really compare with the Lynn scores. That would put Glassmen and Troopers at 73.9 and 73.2 (in the area of Spirit) and Cavies at 83.1 over Crown at 81.2 at Lynn, (I think). That would put Colts at 71.8 at/or around Crossmen's score in Lynn. It will be really interesting when all of the corps finally compete with the same judges!
  14. Depends, If BD or Cadets tried it I'm sure that they would kick some serious ###! If a lower-tier corps did it, it may hurt them.
  15. Cavies 84.9 Bluecoats 80.2 Blue Stars 78.9 Troopers 74.2 Glassmen 73.8 Colts 72.6 Pioneer 60.1
  16. Looks like Troop is widening their lead on Colts and creeping up to Spirit and Glassmen!
  17. What are you talking about with Colts beating Troopers? Troopers have beaten them by .5 and .9 points the last two shows and Colts have not beaten them at all. They also scored a 70 in their last show!
  18. A Trooper is a Trooper! Caring about what their corps does and how they do it is a positive. The only way a Trooper can lessen themselves is by forgetting who they and the current Troopers are and can be!
  19. Too bad Pioneer didn't break 60 tonight.
  20. It may be more than one of that group making it into finals. Boston is beginning to look a bit vulnerable!
  21. Looking forward to seeing Spirt, Colts, Troopers, and Academy getting it on! We really won't know who is going to knock off Glassmen until these 4 fight it out!
