  1. Is Phantom of the Opera the whole show or just the opener?
  2. ...and it wasn't even the best version!. 1988 was better but they ran into the Madison tsunami
  3. I think the role of visual caption head would entail more than creating visual effects. Does he have a background in running an outdoor visual program?
  4. The drum guy is now the visual caption head? quote name='Mrfunkyoyo' timestamp='1328114182' post='3116899'] Tim Jackson is the visual caption head, and they have a new drill writer. Plus the brass caption head has been been teaching/marching there for around 6 years. Plus they've still got the same brass arranger, they still have Michael Gray, and they've added Dean Westman to the design team. I'm not really sure why all these staff changes are scaring people... 2012 should be an awesome Bloo year. The show sounds great!
  5. .....and amazingly, the Cavaliers finish first AND fifth. They then demand an additional vote on the DCI BOD. Hopkins and Gibbs immediately protest, not because a corps finished in 2 positions, but because their incessantly carping and whining voices are now a little quieter... The Cavaliers director says "huh, what happened?"
  6. Looking through the 2012 DCI tour schedule both Revolution and Forte are not listed in any shows. Are both not coming out this year?
  7. And you still haven't divulged how many students are in the corps.....
  8. You should care about the past actions of the administration. Drum Corps history is littered with well intentioned staff and incompetent management. A recent example is Revolution. Another would be Tar Heel Sun. Look into your corps finances, it's fundraising and recruiting. You will then get a sense if there is a future or if you are just spinning your wheels and helping members spend their tuition fees on something that, once again, will not come to fruition.
  9. Yet another NJ corps doing an old Bridgemen show
  10. sounds like less than 30 kids quote name='Robert-m' timestamp='1322202117' post='3100388'] I would like to echo what Charlie stated, This is all about teaching and learning life lessons not only to the youth, but to ourselves. This activity is like a REALLY big family. We all need to support each other and make it the best possible season not only for ourselves but everyone that has been involved in the activity and those who have yet to participate.
  11. Not one reply? No one cares, not even Colts fans or members? See what happens when your quarterback is hurt and the team is 0-10.... quote name='ctomsa' timestamp='1321654533' post='3099266'] Colts Design Team Welcomes Nix, Toosley November 16, 2011 Colts Staff The Colts design team is in place and already putting the pieces together for the 2012 season. Chris Tomsa once again leads the group as Program Coordinator, with Kevin Nix joining the Colts as Visual Coordinator and Drill Designer. Scott Toosley returns to the Colts as Color Guard Designer. The music team includes Tomsa again as Brass Arranger. David Nelson, Percussion Caption Head, will also serve as Battery Arranger while Jerry Carpenter returns in 2012 to write for the Front Ensemble. 12. ooooohhh you are such an insider. how cool are you?
  13. Based on their 2011 scores I can see why you'd think Music City will make Open Class Finals.....oh wait, you meant World Class Semis????? Well that's a big, fat grits covered no.
  14. Caption Heads, Schmaption Heads......does the corps management have it together this year to actually finish a season?
  15. Is that really your best response to a post that troubles you?
  16. Sorry, should I be excited over more Crusader era Howard hires? Looks a huge step sideways for a corps that has failed to break through the wall into the consistently good corps echelon.
  17. They won't get the rights to U2 stuff, the rest..... Eh, who cares.
  18. Should be interesting. With Rosander's inability to properly stage the guard and Shapiro's tendency to over write the Blue Stars seem to have created a visual Frankenstein's monster. Wait, that might be their 2012 production.......dark, brooding and plenty of opportunity or props.
