  1. I would like to issue a challenge along with this one. I'm curious to see just how much crap people can talk about myself and my corps, Confederate Regiment.
  2. Way to copy the Scouts. Nice logo, though. Welcome to DCPI.
  3. Really? I was more fond of the Manitou Beach Brigade logo. I appreciate the compliment, though.
  4. Confederate Ensembles will be undergoing massive changes for DCPI Season XV. Confederate Ensembles currently is made up of three corps: Confederate Regiment (Division I), the Confederate Regiment Cadets (Division II), and Confederate Regiment, Easy Company (Division III). All three of these corps are based in Addison, Michigan. Confederate Ensembles’ Division II and III corps are being relocated to different cities in Michigan, to accommodate the massive space requirements for three drum corps. Addison is small, and we can’t have three drum corps operating without it creating some problems. With the move, the corps will no longer have the names ‘Confederate Regiment Cadets’ or ‘Confederate Regiment, Easy Company.’ Read the entire thing at at the Confederate Regiment blog.
  5. The overall layout isn't bad. My biggest problem is that the lightning bolts are kind of just slapped on there. They don't look like they're really part of the uniform. Don't get me wrong, it's a neat idea. That's just my opinion. Also, I would've made the cape a different color like blue, white, or black. I kind of like it though. You have sort of a 1980's look going on with a modern twist.
  6. I don't know about websites or programs, but there's a fellow named s3si1u on here who just designed some for me just recently. He does a good job.
  7. Yeah, it's a lot of fun. I didn't know you could register in the middle of the season, though.
  8. Did you register just now? I don't think I've seen the name "Blue Coat Regiment" anywhere before.
  9. Confederate Ensembles is hosting its first show, the Rebels Classic. The name derives from the corps' original name (The Rebels), and if you are one of the top 3 in each division, you will receive a prize of unfathomable value: You will receive a commemorative graphic to place in your forum signature, resembling either a gold, silver, or bronze medal, depending on your placement. Also, just for competing, you will receive (if you so choose) a small banner for your forum signature saying that you competed in the most prestigious event of DCPI Season XIV. Corps in Appearance: Division I Confederate Regiment - losnickes Crimson Lions - Tin Guardian Minnesota Madness - DeCellR8 Silver Streak - UltraMello Spartan Regiment - hoffm343 Division II Bronze Star - UltraMello Confederate Regiment Cadets - losnickes Storm Troopers - DannyII T.W.I.T.S. - the bob Texas Zephyrs - ftwdrummer Division III Confederate Regiment, Easy Company - losnickes Lake Wobegon Crusaders - Galen Mountain Magic - DannyII Titanium - UltraMello All that being said, if your username is on here and it shouldn't be or it's in the wrong place, please let me know. Thank you, and I can't wait until this fake competition.
  10. Looks good. What do you use? Photoshop?
  11. I have read quite a bit, but it seems to leave me more confused than I was originally.
  12. So they're eliminating the original "World Class/Open Class/A Class" thing?
  13. I have heard a ton of crap about this 'G7 proposal,' and I know that it somehow involves some of the best corps out there and Cadets director George Hopkins. But I don't know what it's about, or why it's making everyone so angry. Would someone please enlighten me?
  14. Carolina Crown has been doing exceptionally well these past couple days. Do you think they're going to stay strong throughout the season, or are their scores going to plateau after a while?
  15. I'm a little surprised, too. I heard that their show was supposed to be awesome, but at the same time, this is really early in the season, and this is a pretty typical trend with any corps. I'm rather surprised at how well Crown's doing, though. But, when the Cavies get their **** together, then Crown might be in trouble.
  16. I am very pleased to announce that I finally have some uniforms designed. Confederate Regiment Confederate Regiment Cadets Confederate Regiment, Easy Company These were all designed by s3si1u, here on DCP. He does some excellent work.
  17. I would be glad to help you out. Just send me a message with what you want in your logos, and we'll take it from there.
  18. Hey all! A while back, I offered the trade of uniform designs for logo designs, because I desperately wanted some uniform designs. Well, while I designed all those logos, I realized that I rather enjoy it. So if you're interested, let me know. Here are some of the logos I designed: First, I'll show you the logos I designed for my own three corps (I'll agree, they aren't my most spectacular): For a new user who just joined us for Season XIV, I created a logo for his corps, Spartan Regiment. For s3si1u, I made logos for all three of their corps: Penguin Brigade, Harlequin Alliance, and Los Osos: And finally, for percussionplyr, I designed a logo for their corps, "Quilt."
  19. I respectfully invite all to suck it, as Confederate Regiment is prepared to mop the floor with all that stand in our way! The sporting way to say that would be "Can't wait for the season to start, and good luck to all!"
  20. The selections for the Confederate Regiment Cadets' program "The Final Frontier" are as follows (in order): Opener "Star Trek" by Michael Giacchino "Nailin' the Kelvin" by Michael Giacchino Ballad "Labor of Love" by Michael Giacchino "Nice to Meld You" by Michael Giacchino Interlude to Battle "Enterprising Young Men" by Michael Giacchino Battle "Run and Shoot Offense" by Michael Giacchino "Nero Sighted" by Michael Giacchino "Nero Fiddles, Narada Burns" by Michael Giacchino Interlude to Closer "Back From Black" by Michael Giacchino Closer "To Boldly Go" by Michael Giacchino
  21. Oh. Phantom '08 wasn't even mentioned? Disgusting.
