  2. This is what I would like to see Jersey Surf-- End Zone to Endzone American Flag with corps underneath playing ending gets crowd on its feet! Crossmen-- Bones parachutes in through the open roof at Lucas Oil Stadium and crowd goes bananas propelling Crossmen to a Mid-Semis spot Colts-- Each member of corps takes up a different color uniform at the end, exploring the entire crayola color spectrum Blue Stars-- Entire corps with exception of Drum Major disappears, and only he shows up at retreat leaving audience to wonder where the corps went Phantom Regiment-- Corps somehow ends up playing final chord of show in stereo behind the audience on the concourse of Lucas Oil Stadium Carolina Crown-- Uses last 4 minutes of show time to rehash each of last 3 years endings (2007, 2008, 2009) Cadets-- As the Cadets enter their company front Little Jeffery "corps" surfs from one end of the front to the other Bluecoats-- More Mackey Blue Devils-- As the corps goes into their final run to the end, the guard brings the mirrors to the center and smashes them on the ground just as the corps jazz runs through them, showing just how good their technique is In reality I have no clue, but it is going to be fun and I wish I could be there
  3. So this past week I went to the DMV and got my license renewed and boy was there a stark difference from the last time I got my picture taken. That got me wondering because drum corps changes the physique of a marcher drastically over the course of a summer has anyone ever had any problems with their photo id when traveling or a mistaken identity because of drum corps? I know that I had some trouble because of the weight that I lost with my photo id and people doing double takes and commenting on it... but has anyone actually had any real problems?
  4. Wow, I am surprised to hear that; Legends, 7th and Spartans all scored really well (the later getting a 9.4 in Content and 8.9 in Achievement) How were the weather conditions?

  7. I think so... I posted this on another thread, BK score right now 18 days before finals is the 3rd highest in the last 2 decades ear/Corps Breaking 90.0/10th Place/Score 18 days Until Finals/Score at Finals 2009 8 Glassmen 83.100/ 87.750 2008 8 Boston Crusaders 86.000/ 87.275 2007 8 Colts 80.600/ 86.150 2006 7 Boston Crusaders 85.450/ 87.325 2005 7 Blue Knights 84.700/ 88.225 2004 9 Blue Knights 83.550/ 87.600 2003 7 Carolina Crown 82.550/ 86.650 2002 8 Spirit 82.100/ 85.450 2001 8 Carolina Crown 82.300/ 86.950 2000 8 Madison Scouts 82.700/ 85.550 1999 8 Crossmen 81.600/ 87.000 1998 8 Bluecoats 81.600/ 87.100 1997 8 The Magic 83.400/ 85.700 1996 6 Carolina Crown 80.600/ 82.100 1995 6 Crossmen 79.500/ 85.100 1994 6 Glassmen 78.800/ 83.900 1993 7 Blue Knights 80.300/ 85.000 1992 9 Velvet Knights 84.300/ 86.600 1991 7 Freelancers 79.300/ 86.400 1990 6 Velvet Knights 79.700/ 87.300 I would love to see it, I think it speaks volumes about the level of excellence that is being put on the field this year
  8. And how about the gates from Crown '07? We could play giant croquet... or have a horse show!
  9. Have fun!! That is a beautiful ballpark, get there early and walk around and see the sights!
  10. Does anyone know the housing sites for the Fairfax show? I know that Blue Devils are doing a camp at George Mason so they are there, but does anyone have info on the other corps?
  11. Ok first post I am going to try not to screw up too bad... I would say although the race for first has been a little one-sided (although by all accounts getting much, much closer) the overall quality of the top 12 and even extending all the way down the ladder is very high. Just to kind of put it in perspective, right now BK sits at 10th with an 85.050, a mere 7.650 back from the Blue Devils in first. If that spread holds through the next 2 1/2 weeks you could be looking at 10 corps breaking 90 at finals, which has not happened in at least the past 2 decades, if ever. Here is a list of the 10th place corps in the over the last 20 years.... right now the Blue Knights are outscoring all but 2 of them (ironically both Boston Crusaders' shows). Year/Corps Breaking 90.0/10th Place/Score 18 days Until Finals/Score at Finals 2009 8 Glassmen 83.100/ 87.750 2008 8 Boston Crusaders 86.000/ 87.275 2007 8 Colts 80.600/ 86.150 2006 7 Boston Crusaders 85.450/ 87.325 2005 7 Blue Knights 84.700/ 88.225 2004 9 Blue Knights 83.550/ 87.600 2003 7 Carolina Crown 82.550/ 86.650 2002 8 Spirit 82.100/ 85.450 2001 8 Carolina Crown 82.300/ 86.950 2000 8 Madison Scouts 82.700/ 85.550 1999 8 Crossmen 81.600/ 87.000 1998 8 Bluecoats 81.600/ 87.100 1997 8 The Magic 83.400/ 85.700 1996 6 Carolina Crown 80.600/ 82.100 1995 6 Crossmen 79.500/ 85.100 1994 6 Glassmen 78.800/ 83.900 1993 7 Blue Knights 80.300/ 85.000 1992 9 Velvet Knights 84.300/ 86.600 1991 7 Freelancers 79.300/ 86.400 1990 6 Velvet Knights 79.700/ 87.300 Now ever year is different I admit that, so it may be hard to extrapolate and compare the past data, however the fact that more corps are putting out entertaining and high quality shows (even beyond the top 10) has to say something for how good 2010 is turning out to be.
