  1. Lee, Just picked up a copy (heh, $7.77 off Amazon, nice) after reading the sample. I'll be sad to not see you guys this year in Annapolis.
  2. Sounds like there's quite a few issues with Box 5, good thing I held off on ordering. I'll stay tuned to see if this clears up.
  3. The Xymox pads are great. We got a kid on our line that brought one to audition and it's a good mock-up of a real set of tenors. What really helps (over other pads) is the addition of raised edges to simulate rims.
  4. I'd pay a shiny nickle for a DCA logo patch. //already have the finals 2010, 2011 patches. Don't want the shirt or hat.
  5. Hey everybody, quick question here. I've been marching Yamaha tenors (standard fiberglass Yamaha harness) and I can't seem to calibrate the j-bars just right where they're the backs of the tenors are knocking on my knees when I forward march. At first I thought I was using the wrong J-bars, but nope, I'm using the tenor ones. I a tall skinny guy (6-foot, 170ish) so I like my tenors a bit low (hip level) so I'm not flailing our my elbows and am able to keep good technique when I play. Any tips? Thanks!
  6. Used Evans on our tenors last year, total crap.
  7. Aahh crap! I always wanted to be a part of VK but I live in DC.
  8. Heck, I just went up on stage and winged it last year. I should really polish something and give it a better go. I'm trying to get some of the rookies on my line to get jazzed up for I&E this year. If I can get one to participate, it's a success on my part.
  9. I thought she looked fine from where I was standing. She has a real Christie Spears Phantom '98 look to her.
  10. Heck yeah, Tampa! Finally my parents can come out and see me perform. That's my birthday weekend too, so it's fun times with the corps, then drink specials at the nearest Ale House!
  11. I can probably count on both hands DCA and DCI corps playing Gershwin this year.
  12. Welcome to DCA South! Hope evaluation goes through smoothly so we can possibly perform at your 7/17 show (Shenandoah Sound)!
  13. yeah, there's a bunch of vinyl sticker places online. I forget where I got mine, but I had a single color vinyl sticker done for the bass drum on my drum kit and with shipping it came to about $35.
