  1. Stars were good, not quite as loud as last year, but still seemingly aiming to please the crowd!
  2. Louisiana Stars taking the field. @rainshdw08 for periscope snippets
  3. There will be no storms or rain with this show. Only heat and high dewpoints.
  4. Weather for this show will be hot and humid. Highs in the upper 80s and mid 70 dewpoints, heat indices will approach 100 during the afternoon. No rain should affect the show, so that's something. Can't wait!! Go Madison! Performing Corps in order of appearance: Louisiana Stars Legends Music City Colt Cadets Pioneer Jersey Surf Crossmen Madison Scouts Blue Stars
  5. I don't have much time, but, looking at everything....this show will go on without any rain at all, or threat of rain. The official NWS forecast is a 20% chance of rain before 3pm. The only fly would be, there's shortwave moving through the area between 10pm and 4am. so there is a slight chance at the end of the show, but not likely.
  6. I was gonna wait until this evening to make a post about the potential for weather for this show. Currently Sunday looks worse than Saturday as SPC only has the area in a Marginal risk of severe weather. its gonna depend on where the storms set up tonight. The warm front looks to stall over the area Saturday afternoon sometime. More to follow
  7. ain't that the truth! Dang mountains!! Oh how I miss them Gotta just love the boring, no views at all, Midwest!
  8. The only weather issue is Wind. Gusts to 28mph this afternoon, slightly subsiding to 23 or so tonight. Show lineup for tonight: (listed in reverse order of performance) Troopers - Casper, WY Bluecoats - Canton, OH Oregon Crusaders - Portland, OR Mandarins - Sacramento, CA Cascades - Seattle, WA There is one other thing i'm seeing about this show (dci.org site)...ticket prices for this show...75 bucks for 50 yard line center in a HS Stadium for a 5 corps show? In which only one is guaranteed to make the top 12? (No offense Troop!!) Seems a bit high to me.
  9. Happened yesterday at Tioga Pass in California ...lol
  10. Showers and Storms in the area today could affect the show, but I feel only delay it at best...if at all.
  11. It is going to be a rainy summer again I think. as for this show. Looking good at the moment. the rain that was crossing the lake has dissipated with not much else on the radar moving in that direction. Only 2:40 there now though, daytime heating peak approaching.
  12. It would. But I can see the Fort Wayne show happening as of now. As for this one, rain has tapered off, but a much heavier area is approaching from the SW. Should be there within a few hours.
  13. Well...What I'm seeing now is the 2nd wave seems to be drying up a bit. NWS Northern indiana agrees. It seems like the baroclinic zones are changing a bit more in favor of late show or after show time. NWS NI has lowered pops up until about through about Midnight, then they become much higher. That being said. I think now that the heavier rain holds off until after the show. However, light to moderate rain will still affect the area, which could in turn cause a delay or two during the show. This show seems safe for me at the moment. If you have tickets, you should go. Can't see a rainout here now as I may have a few hours ago.
  14. thanks. Looks like rain is breaking up a bit. Energy seems to transferring back to larger area of rain approaching from the SW.
  15. KVG_DC, can you do me a favor and tell me exactly when it does start raining. I'd like to correlate that with my radar....see how much Virga is in play. I don't think there is much, but this will verify it for me. thanks!
  16. I'll say.....rain. lol. Sorry. Lots of rain and Thunderstorms in the area. One hit Ogden earlier, more are approaching as they develop SW and move over the lake towards Ogden. If there is any good news, they are scattered in nature. At least this show has a chance of happening, unlike the other two in the midwest of which I feel 1 has no chance and the other isn't far behind.
  17. For the first blob. Start time looks close per radar. The 2nd, larger area of rain is the one I think hurts this shows chances.
  18. ** Noon Weather Update** Currently raining in Metamora. Some breaks in sight before another large area of rain southwest of Quincy IL affects the area later.
  19. **Noon Weather Update** Not liking the look. At the moment a large area of rain is approaching the Fort Wayne area, should arrive in 2 hours or less. Some breakup behind the area of rain only to be followed by a larger are of rain behind that. Hopefully....the show can go on during that break i'm seeing on radar. Trying to be optimistic here.... Meanwhile, its pouring in Ogden and raining in Metamora...
