Yeah, Finals tapes are never a time of criticism. They are always about letting the members/staff know what is on fire for the last run of the season. No critique will help fix anything as the final run is going on.

But there is this.

After Finals I definitely dropped off my patronage to this site. But I'm mostly lurking again. I don't really have much to say unless news comes out.

Fantastic Design and all, but the corps wasn't clean enough to compete with BD that season.

You don't not award the Blue Devils the championship after that performance.

Ok I lied, the biggest offenders are SCV. So much of that sound pumping out of the speakers. The corps is inside the 35s and the 15 is pumping out so much sound. Not that they were hitting a synth button, but the doubling of their sound was over the top.

Man, Bluecoats are the biggest offender of Synth and Shotgun micing the corps. The latter half of the show is mostly playback in the speakers for volume.

You're the best hook'em. Pumped for 2018 and 2017 isn't finished yet. I'm about it.

My God, Bluecoats use so much synth to boost the sound.

Booo, on Mandarins not being in finals.

DCI needs to make Souvenier cups that they use at regionals and finals week. Definitely would be a collectors item for me.

Not likely, guards warm up indoors. They were outside all of the time from the bus to the tunnel.

You take a memeber from each section into the dome and then tune them. Then you take them to the rest of the corps and check where there horn has moved to. You then put everyone equally out of tune with the hope all the instruments move to the in tune indoors. As you play the show as a performer you are supposed to assess your tuning and then readjust while performing to be intine if you are out.

Mandarins should be way up in GE. Madison should be way up in Music. And I give a slight edge to Mandarins for Visual, mostly stemming from the guard. This should actually be close in scoring.

The Mandarins, amazing. Why are all of the scouts on the field while we are still giving our ovation for Madison. Mandarins weren't even close to getting off the field.

BDB coming on to the field and yelling a novel and trying to start a clap with the audience is certainly getting annoying.

All the Sun King I drank before the show today is my pairing for the corps. Lol.

Made it to Sun King, there is great beer here. And the taproom is really cool.

Yeah we are looking for a change to the ending to bolster the GE scores, something significant.

Appears to be that they make their own beers more locally, so what you get in each different state changes. Worth a trip if I am also hungry and have enough time. Sun King look great though.

Sun King looks like a really solid choice though it is just a brewery, if you're around there is a beer on my tab for you.
