  1. So lemme make sure I understand - This guy's telling you to make sure to hire better instructors than HIMSELF, right ? (Check his bio in his signature) Huh ! Cool ! Thanks for the advice, dude
  2. No Wildwood for us this year, sorry to say (Not exactly lookin' for sympathy, though - We'll be stting at a pool in sunny Scottsdale instead) - Bought our Barnum tix on Monday, though, can't wait! ! ! Have fun down the shore dis weekend, and good luck to all the corps (but 'specially youse guys, of course!).
  3. So d'ya still have that baritone spot and the two guard spots available, or did I just waste a shameless (and proud of it) bump ?
  4. No, there is most assuredly NOT such a thing as "too many in the guard" ! Gimme 36 ! Better yet, FORTY !
  5. This is sooooooooooo awesome! I used to love St. John's every summer on their New England swing ! Good luck ! PS - I hope your uniforms'll look alot like those stylin' burgundy and black ones I remember
  6. I would LOVE to hear somebody tackle "The Great American Trailer Park Musical". Honest-to-goodness, it's fer real! There's this number in it called, "(I'm Gonna Make Like a Nail and) Press On", that would be the highlight of the summer!
  7. Wow, I can't believe nobody's mentioned CT Hurricanes' 1981 "Salute to Freedom", basically, "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" (With a little "Battle Hymn" mixed in, if my mind's not playin' tricks on me). I've heard the horn line was bored to death playing it, but, man it brought the house down every weekend! Of course, Harvey's honor guard out front, and Mickey's color guard had alot to do wth the audience response, too.
  8. Weren't the white, pink, and purple ladies Les Chatelaines or something? Of course, I definitely could be wrong, since that's a memory I had to really dig way deep for . . . . . .
  9. From the gone but, well forgotten by most folks (sadly) - San Jose Raiders, L'Insolite, Rockland Defenders. From the "When I win the lottery I'm gonna write whatever size check it'll take for them to have the best of everything, including a full corps" list, MANDARINS ! Can't say I've ever NOT liked 'em . And a couple pages back, someone mentioned the Memorial Lancers - Anyone remember the Crimson Cadets from Nebraska from about the same era? What a kick in the patoot THEY were - All Jethro Tull show one year in the early 80's!
  10. Yikes! Where's Mike ? OK, I'll do it, then -3 days left !
  11. Less than ONE day left now - Please proceed to finish up all your other obligations for this weekend so you can be there !
  12. Once again, if you're reading this, you're not at Cabs Camp ! I, unfortunately, am at work now - WHAT"S YOUR EXCUSE ?! Nevermind - I don't wanna hear your excuse - Get yer backside there now !
  13. And if somebody does, can you promise your modern uniforms'll look alot like the OLD Royalaires uniform ? My second favorite DCA uniform EVER.
  14. Hey, it's TODAY ! If you're reading this, that means you're not there. Fix that - Get there. Now. Get moving !
  15. Someday, guys, someday - One of these years I'll no longer be working weekends Soon as it happens, count me in Til then, we'll just keep being groupies, advocates, and T-shirt purchasers (n' sellin' tix at Clifton, of course!)
  16. You work with Cliff Richmond ? ! Way cool ! Tell him Roger from Bridgeport says hello ! (He'd remember me from Cabs "way back" and from Park City Pride)
