I will admit, that would be nice! But I'm not expecting it at all. Lots of excellent groups at the top. Should be an exciting final 2 1/2 weeks of the season. Best of luck to all involved!

From DCI.org this is how order of appearance was determined for San Antonio LAST year. "Results from from the July 15 events in Denver, DeKalb, Illinois, and Alexandria, Kentucky determine the performance order for the DCI Southwestern Championship presented by Fred J. Miller, Inc. in San Antonio. Once seeded in score order, corps were randomly drawn within groups of three (First through third, fourth through sixth, etc.). For corps not in any of those three shows, seeding was established by using the scores on the closest day prior to July 15."

Maybe Madison should go and do the same thing. ;)

Oh my goodness!! Could you imagine the reactions of the Madison alums on the various social media pages if this were to ever happen?

A show sponsor is supposed to provide housing ( somewhere between 12 to 24 hours, not sure the exact amount). Any housing above the required amount of time is the responsibility of the corps to aquire and pay for. Although I've seen in some cases the show sponsor would help a corps, if it was able to.

During the weather delay, yesterday in Orlando.

I wonder how the delay will affect the drivers, with the new electronic logs, drivers on-duty hours, etc.?

I'm not there, so I can't answer your question. It is my understanding that the alums were allowed to attend rehearsal today, inside the stadium. The corps had a large block of tickets that included access to the club lounge for a reception (which is what the photo is from). From what I've heard the event was a sellout.

The encore so nice, Carolina Crown decided to do it twice. For the second year in a row, the Fort Mill corps will team up with a highly-talented a cappella ensemble, for an encore performance at Sunday night’s DCI Orlando event, presented by Great East Music Festivals and Music Store. In last year’s encore, Crown teamed up with Liberty Voices, a group whose members often perform on the grounds of Walt Disney World. A number of the Liberty Voices are also involved in Voctave, which records and performs its own arrangements. Based in the Orlando area, Voctave has a penchant for Disney music. In 2017, the ensemble’s arrangement of “How Far I’ll Go,” from “Moana,” and its “Disney Princess Medley,” combined for more than five million views on YouTube. At last season’s event, Carolina Crowna and Liberty Voices joined forces to perform stunning arrangements of “America the Beautiful” and “Battle Hymn of the Republic.” Crown also performed “For Good” from the musical “Wicked,” as performed in its 2017 program, “It Is,” while the Liberty Voices performed their own arrangement of “This Land is Your Land.” “It was like, ‘wow,'”Liberty Voices singer Dirk Donahue said about performing with Carolina Crown last summer. “When it came together, it came together, and you could just see the grins on everybody's faces. My professional musician friends and singers here in this group were just blown away. Everyone's just grinning from ear to ear, me included.“ 2018’s edition of the encore performance with Voctave is expected to run along the same lines. The DCI Orlando event will kick off at Camping World Stadium at 7 p.m. ET on Sunday, July 8.
