I was just thinking about that the other day. I remember hearing a long time ago that they'll be getting new unis after this season, but then I doubted that because it hasn't been mentioned. It's their 40th anniversary right?

WOW, Thanks for the input guys. Question for BlooooContra; How does one get started in drill writing? Do you reccomend any free programs to practice on? (besides MicroMarchingLeague).

Is it really a matter of having the money to have Michael Gaines write the drill? And if so, how much would that cost (approximately)? I can't imagine drill writers getting any more than $500, but if I'm wrong, someone please tell me, I'd really like to know.

has a corps ever done Mrs Robinson by simon and garfunkel. I think it would suit the blue devils well, kind of how they used i say a little prayer. ...also, I'll prolly get beef for this, but i don't care. I really think that the chorus of Gwen Stefani's The Sweet Escape (0:47-1:20) would be good for Blue Devils. The echo effect with the background singers part would be trumpet screamers. Thats just how I see it though.

So I guess the Cadets (2011) don't believe in tradition? ..and btw, I wasn't bashing anybody. What's wrong with emulating a corps like the blue devils.

I noticed they copied Blue Devils by going without their shakos, wouldn't be the first they've tried to emulate them.

ok I didn't want to start a thread for this, because I'm sure it's been done a hundred times. This year was the first time I have a fan network subscription, and whenever I'd watch a live webcast, it was fine. But for the VOD, it always starts out fine for the first 10/20 seconds and then afterwards its very choppy. Has anyone here had the same problem, and were able to fix it. If I had to guess, I'd say its because my laptop's graphics card isn't enough, but idk.

That would be awesome. In my opinion, the 2012 championship encore performance was the best edited DCI show ever! It's a real shame they took it down though.

I'll be the first to answer the question: I think the dumbest thing posted on the threads this year has to be those that said Cavaliers could miss finals. We get it, they're nowhere near where they used to be, but c'mon, no need to exaggerate.

The thing is, I'm all for using final fantasy music, but I don't want to see a show based on the final fantasy stories. And I think that's very doable

I am still convinced that it's possible to arrange some Final Fantasy music into a good show. ...I realize Blue Stars did this in 2006 (or was in 2007? I can't remember), but I don't think they did a very good job (both arraigning and performance wise) . I think it would suit Phantom Regiment well.

my bad, I just assumed this year would be more than enough time to raise the money the needed to return. but hey, its still a possibility.

Keep in mind The Glassmen are coming back next year. It'll be interesting to see how the year off effects them. my guess is they lose alot of past members/recruits, but at the same time have a very well designed show. Heck, they'll end up having 21 months to think about it. I predict they'll get 15th place.
