It’s been muddy all season! I mentioned it in the Crown thread too when I was talking about brass scores. Definitely needs to be cleaned up, because the high brass is doing some pretty impressive stuff in Jojo’s but the clarity isn’t there yet for the low brass

I completely agree! Definitely one of the more enjoyable shows this year, which makes this show a winner in my book

I’m no percussion guy but credit has to be given to a book that integrates as well into the show as Crown’s book does. I’m personally not a huge fan of ramming a bunch of notes for difficulty’s sake, integrate it with the horn book! Crown does that so well this year, it’s a shame only WGI seems to value this style. I’d like to see musical writing like this get rewarded more in DCI

I’m glad I’m not the only crown and BD supporter this year! They are by far the most entertaining shows of the top 4. Before I get put on anyone else’s naughty ignore list, this is just my opinion 🙂

CONGRATULATIONS to Carolina Crown on a well deserved 2nd place finish. This show has wheels and I’m rooting for them to keep their momentum going!

Crown definitely annoyed me last year more than Bloo does this year

It really just depends. I loved BK 2014, but they were the exception, not the rule

The narration does suck though. This isn’t a Bloo specific thing, narration and voice just usually isn’t fun. This is the main reason why I had a hard time enjoying Crown until this year. It’s not specific to Bloo. A lot of corps incorporate small amounts of narration, but when it becomes central to the show, it becoming grating. If the Keytar wasn’t involved last year, Bloo’s show last year would be hard to stomach too

Hope Bloo starts shortening their shows from now on. They go on for way too long for the past few seasons

I mean I was saying BD would go undefeated from the get go The real news is Phantom has been a bit more consistent with that 5th place placement. Hoping they keep that momentum going 😊
