Atonal music? At what point in the 90’s did the Cavaliers play even 1 entire piece that was atonal? There was dissonance in some shows, and some darker pieces, but all the shows being dark, about good and evil, atonal? I can’t think of a single show in the 1990’s that was based on any of that criteria as a whole. Sure, they had some of the musical elements you wrote of-with the the exception of true atonal music, but I don’t see what you’re talking about.

I didn’t like the 1996 Cavaliers at all...when I first saw the show. I saw it at least 6 times that summer, and with each time I saw the show, the more I disliked it. That said, as I watched it more over the years, I have grown to love it. I felt the same way with SCV in ‘96. Now, I love that show as well. I think 1996 gets forgotten by many in general in the activity, because 1995 was a great year for so many corps that so many from 1996 got lost. But it truly was a great season for so many.
