  1. I finally gave in and subscribed to Season Pass. At home I can get the streaming audio and video just fine. However, at work I can stream the video but the audio file always says that it cannot connect to the server. I don't think it's a firewall problem, since I can stream other things outside of DCI and the DCI video streams work fine. My work computer is running Mac OS X with Safari. Any ideas?
  2. I just wish I could stream APD's here at work - videos work just fine, but APD's can never connect to the server. (WMP 9 on Mac os X)
  3. I'm pretty indifferent to the Cadets, but after this thread - I hope they don't win. :P
  4. To me, the narration changes a lovable Americana show into a campy Americana show. It's not just an "anti-amp" issue - I found myself really liking Crossmen's radio segment, but the Blue Stars' show - no narration necessary.
  5. Cavaliers should overtake BD by season's end.
  6. I'll preface this by saying I'm not a huge Cavies or BD guy (I'm a Regiment fan, personally). I was there live tonight. Cavaliers still have a new ending to put in, and I'm not sure what else BD could add as far as demand goes. Cavies are under a point back with basically an incomplete show. See also: 2004.
  7. I dunno...after seeing them both, I have a feeling BD may peak early and Cavies could pass them in late July.
  8. I was there tonight, and BD was having some brass issues.
  9. Crowd response at the end of the show in Indy tonight was so-so, at best. Random guy behind me: "That would make an awesome winter drumline show." I'm inclined to agree.
  10. Glassmen had my favorite show overall tonight. Yes, I'm serious. As for the Blue Stars, there's not a whole lot of narration, but still too much (IMHO). A pit member (ala BD '05) speaks in the beginning about the different types of freedoms portrayed in the show, which then leads into the first big hit. The only other narration is at the beginning of each movement explaing what freedom it is and what it means. It's not a lot, but it is unnecessary and distracting. The mic was also going in and out during the performance. Otherwise, a fantastic show.
  11. I saw them live in Indy tonight - they are movin'! High visual demand all around. The show starts great but loses steam as it goes on - the ending (is it the new one?) is still not big enough. If this gets cleaned and tweaked here and there for GE - it could be a suprise for everyone. Love the new uniforms, too. Nice.
  12. I thought I liked them until I saw it live tonight - ick. Too much purple, and the off-centered plume was very unique. The drum major looks no different than the corps proper.
  13. I just got in from the show - great show! I litened to scores with Matt (Maedhros) from DCP. Here's how I ranked them: 1. Blue Devils 2. Cavaliers 3. Bluecoats 4. Cadets 5. Madison Scouts 6. Carolina Crown 7. Glassmen 8. Colts 9. Blue Stars 10. Crossmen 11. Capital Regiment 12. Southwind 13. Magic 14. Pioneer Quick thoughts (JMHO, of course): -BD will peak and get passed up by Cavaliers in late July -Bluecoats are for real, should be beating closely Cadets right now -Madison still has a weak ending, Crown's show is good but doesn't do anything for me -Glassmen's show design is top notch this year - right up with Cavaliers' as best in DCI -Crossmen have a great, entertaining show but are much too high right now -Colts are coming out swinging - strong show -Blue Stars have a great product, but drop the limited narration -Minnesota Brass - WOW!
  14. I'm more upset that Phantom is not at Indy. :(
  15. Row 31 people - come say hey to me down in Row 28. Brown hair, Troopers shirt, both shows.
  16. Lower level is much better on the echo, but you lose a little on the drill.
  17. I love the new shirts! OT: Hey, good to see the "Stop Hop" icon I made a few years back again. :)
  18. Sweet. My girlfriend and I are wearing our Troopers shirts to Indy this weekend - wish you guys were there!
