I am hoping for a big flag feature like at the end of the show last year. Even with the closer added last night, it looked incomplete, so I am hoping a feature is still in the works.

SCV does not cover the field like BD does. I like that SVC contracts the performance space as they do. Makes every thing seem more intimate and immediate. I assume this was a calculated move on their part, but I hope it does not count against them.

It is a very confident and well-considered show overall. My greatest pleasure from any show is seeing a coherent and internally consistent style. That and really loud brass.

Agreed, but I also kind of like how creepy it is for them to be parked on the front sideline, like a bunch of demons. May not generate GE, but it adds to the overall demonic feel of the show.

I was put off at first by how slowly Manderin's show starts and builds, but now I am really appreciating it.

Terri was kind 40 years ago. I remember.

Cavies' show has the distinctive feel of an independent movie, one that shows a strong auteur's vision. Crown's show feels more like a big Hollywood production that checks all the boxes but with no real personal feel to it.

Come on, they keep making growly faces. You know, like a beast.

Uniform is pretty weird close up, but on the field, it gives them a unique big-shouldered silhouette that I find appealing.
