I will agree in terms of cleanliness. It just feels like they came out of the gate with a very complete show in comparison to those around them. Could come back to haunt them.

I felt that way with Bluecoats in 2016 yet they won the whole thing. Crazier things have happened in this activity.

Crown's ballad is one of my favorite moments of the season. Just wonderful. They had a great performance tonight.

I really love that closer. Even if the rest of the show is just kinda there, that is definitely a standing ovation type of closer.

I think I like this show a lot more than those at the top from out west. In comparison with BD and SCV, it seems that crown has far more visual content. Their drill is exquisite this year. Really love watching it.

While a fair point, most of what SCV is lacking in at the moment is content, which will definitely go up when they add the closer. That alone will push their score higher, cleanliness or not. This is a similar situation to last year given that right now SCV is on top without a complete show on the field. I'm not saying it will last as last year proved to do, but as they added things last year, they did pull away from the competition. That could very well happen again.

This is going more in SCV's favor given they have less of a show on the field. "Skeleton" or not.

Definitely agree. I was worried about them doing a train show, but it is terrific. Especially in the visual department.

When I first saw video of this show from last night, it felt like another babylon, but it seems a lot more independent upon second viewing and from a high cam perspective. I think all captions are just as strong as they were last year, I'm just curious to see how the closer comes out. Last year the closer is what made the show for me.

The show is about rebelling from the norm. It makes sense that they'd use something frowned upon as a way to rebel.

Their guard is definitely hungry to grab that Zenghali award again. They look great!

As of right now, I think Mandarins could end up in 7 with that show design.

Mandarins are so good. They have the show designs I am captivated by. Hope they keep this up every year!

Scouts 2nd by one of the GE judges. Wow. Great job! Upon further inspection, that's the only reason they beat the colts. Other GE judge had them 5th while both visual and music overall they were 5th as well.

This is starting to sound like last year. Many thought SCV would never win visual and that it was all but guaranteed to go to BD, but clearly that wasn't the case. Both BD and SCV have different approaches, even to marching itself, but both are also very good at what they do. At the end of the day, it's the judge's call on what they like.

I think the biggest complaint I have for BD and SCV is the lack of colors. The guard uniforms for SCV are the only bit of color that pops from the field. BD has the least amount of color that I've seen from them since 2007.

The spread says a lot. Crown can definitely close that gap.

Crown was our theater's fan favorite, and I was quite surprised that not many people were really cheering for the bluecoat's show. That is the definition of a crowd pleasing show.

I think Bluecoats win tonight, but Crown seems to have more room to improve as of right now. Definitely interested to see the gap in scores.

I could feel the synth from the theater. Hope the balance is better in person. I love the show, hate the synth sound. The design is gold potential too. So different from crown. Favorite bluecoats show since 2014!

Boston definitely has medal potential. Dont care for all the narration, but man oh man. That guard has the content for another win this season. The drill, music, everything is incredible.
