  1. I don't know if that would be the best ... or the worst. On August 8, it would be the worst but right now, I think it would be the best!
  2. Thanks! It is a picture of a beer koozie that you can buy to support the 27th Lancer Foundation. And thanks again, I really miss my drum corps alma mater as well.
  3. Inspired by Don Cherry? I thought they taken striaght from his wardrobe!
  4. I agree with you wholeheartedly on both points. This year's edition of Cadets is pretty straight forward, stripped down and well put together. It isn't endowed with a ton of electronics or laden down with a ton of props. It is just good, solid, well executed drum corps (assuming execution still matters ... from some recent comments, perhaps only design matters ... but I digress). And I agree about your take on last year's show. I enjoyed it much more in Akron than I did in Indianapolis and the reason why had to do with the late season addition of the cheese factor. So long as this year's corps adds in some classic Cadets whipsaw drill as their tag ending, or something along those lines, and there are no banners being dropped from the rafters of Lucas Oil Stadium encouraging us to "Buy Bonds," I foresee a good chance for Cadets to medal, if not win.
  5. Buying tics? Oh no! I was just giving them away for nothing!
  6. Way to go SCV! First 80+ of the season, and congrats to Blue Stars for their 71.8!
  7. I like the rewrites too, but would like to see a little more energy from the guard, especially in the first two clips.
  8. I think Blue Stars' show has legs. When it is cleaned up, it will be a great show.
  9. They are all puppets. You know ... the guy behind the mixer board controls them all. It is known.
  10. Not this year ... the judges are trying to avoid being trapped by spreads!
  11. INT is the best! Especially the "This Is Kidney Tap" feature! Turn it up to eleven!
  12. You mean I shouldn't buy tics for the Dublin show? Or are YOU the man behind the curtain?
  13. Oh, it is just solid, no frills drum corps at its best!
  14. And apparently you and I marched against each other. But you also marched with my friends Andy Wickstrom and Sue (Templeton) Deschene, and worked with my friends Joel Alleyne and Bob Stewart, so it's all good, brother!
  15. Not only that, but he marched with Seneca! Thought you might like knowing that.
  16. A bit of trivia ... in 1976, Etobicoke Oakland Crusaders and the Seneca Optimists who were both from Toronto were in DCI Finals. I think that is the only time that two corps from the same city made Finals.
  17. Amen! I mean, no vocal "Amen" due to one point penalty. (How's that for a throwback!)
  18. Sorry, my bad ... er, I mean I was counting in base 15 ... yeah, that's it!
  19. Good to know! I was amazed that in Bowling Green all ten seemed to play both in tune and majestically ... and no one had to shoot nine of them to make it happen!
  20. You are right, of course, but as June ends, hope springs eternal!
