We use to live in SoMa, South of Market for those not in the know, and moved back to Castro last spring. People are out and about doing their daily activities, shopping, walking, roller blading and jogging. Lots of handsome police officers out today too. Love their big smiles as we walked by.

Based on reports of very small and slight minimal interest in ticket sales for championships in little league town, plus a high percentage of older fans in attendance, it wasn’t going to be a stellar season for revenue in the first place.

There’s not a whole lot of choices for DCI. The whole touring model will most likely change due to the lack of available housing. The economic impact on families will affect participation as well. There will be major challenges to keep corps regional until Indy. I don’t see this season happening.

Less participation is my guess. Extending age-outs for another season effects the others who are of age.

If you eat the right foods and exercise daily you’re still going to die. However birth certificates are not issued with an expiration date. Get busy living!

Life's cycle! With the cancellation of the NBA, Spring Training, now March Madness, and more, in 9 months time, the hospital maternity wards will be packed to the brim to triple replenish whatever we lost in lives from the virus in the interim.

Very small percentage considering there is 1.35 billion people in China and 3000 deaths is a equally small percentage of people who have died from other causes in China over the same period. Just saying! Tragic - no! death is inevitable.

The mainstream media's coverage of this has been irresponsible, IMO Bordering on panic creation, and paranoia creation. In the end, who knows. more people might die of stress or a stroke watching the TV and the like than from the Chinese Coronovirus spread. World Health Organization website their scientists, epidemiologists are stating that 86.4 % of those that come down with the virus will suffer " mild, non life threatening symptoms". Even the vast majority of those over 80 with compromised immune systems due to underlying health conditions are expected to survive a bout with this, and millions of these people every night die in their sleep peacably anyway, no child under 10 anywhere in the world has died from this. 99 out of every 100 people that come down with this virus that are under 65 will survive it, and far less than half the adult population is expected to get it. China has 1.35 billion people.. As of today, 3,177 have died of Coronovirus in China since this outbreak began there in mid December. Out of 80,000 confirmed cases (its estimated many more went undiagnosed, and recovered on their own). I suspect that many will catch this virus, but that it will eventually run its course, and while deaths will result, it will not be the cataclysmic virus that its being made out to be by the media.

IMO this will end up being the weakest, with the fewest deaths of all pandemics in history. All these cancellations are to instill fear and are unnecessary.

The COVID-19 update from DCI suggest that the availability of current rehearsal sites and spring training sites are in question.

Oh well! Less corps touring might be a good thing.

Perhaps some won’t continue. DCI should be planning regionally and less touring. Might change the dynamic of these organizations for the better.

Neither! I based it on good sense. If BD has 50 age outs and DCI allowed them another season then 50 potential members who are of age won’t be. Doubt WGI or DCI would ignore their age rules for participation.

No special considerations will be given to age outs this season. Consequences of the decision to shut it down. Same for DCI age outs too.
