  1. You never heard “snark”? I am the QUEEN of snark! Allow me to welcome you!
  2. If they don’t change or add anything else, i would be ok with that. But you KNOW they aren’t done yet!
  3. I watched each corps improve from last night. As i watched them, i kept thinking “I don’t know. The Devs may be in trouble tonight!” And then they start… and i am all “oh. Yeah. Probably not!” 💙😈✂️
  4. I am concerned about this stomach thing. I noted one of the two cut-outs on the green props was missing last night. And i noticed some holes here and there that i don’t believe were intentional. If the MM are going to get this thing, i HOPE they get it now and not in a week. The way i see it, that’s the biggest risk they face as they head to the home stretch.
  5. You are not the only one who misses Poppy! I made comments on the Crown thread last season that were poorly received (i have tried to be nices this season!) but i think i always managed to not cross any lines. Poppy, however, enjoyed stirring the pot. His comments, which were often very insightful, were delivered in a way most likely to cause much gnashing of teeth! But he was VERY entertaining. And I don’t believe he had an ounce of malice in him. Towards the end of last season he made a comment towards someone else that was the last straw, apparently. He disappeared quickly.
  6. Ambien is kicking in. Thanks @Cappybarafor starting this thread. It’s been an interesting one! 🤣🤣🤣 💙😈✂️✂️✂️
  7. It’s like this for sports in general. Parents move so kid can play sport they excel at at a school that can get them to the next level. Which is why it is so important for the Devs to keep winning. As more corps get close, the kids have more options on where to take their talents. If they start losing, the talent will start heading elsewhere.
  8. FYI- the Hopper painting is simply titled “Nighthawks”. Dreams + Nighthawks was the name of BD’s show. art lesson for the day…
  9. You presume to know MY outlook based on YOUR history? That tells me more about you than any of your other posts.
  10. The thing is, at least for ME, i DO understand the points you are making. I read everything you wrote, you have been VERY clear. I just disagree with you. It IS THAT SIMPLE.
  11. Again, for those in the back- BD fans do not feel less urgency. We are not indifferent to winning, or blase about success. We want BD to win this year, because the show is fabulous. We want them to 3peat, because they never have and it is such a rare accomplishment. But we know others are working hard to win, and they will be applauded and appreciated, whatever the result.
  12. you have passed the point of stating your position and seemingly have crossed into absurdist territory if you think BD fans are indifferent.
  13. Just popping in to say, again, how much i love this show! The MM obv enjoy performing the hell out of it, and i think their complete buy-in of the concept is what will propel them to their best finish ever. I originally projected a 6th place final, but i am now convinced they will finish higher than that!
  14. Listen, Mr. Fart… i DO get triggered. About important things, like abuse, and man’s inhumanity to man. Disagreeing with you, responding to your snark, is NOT being triggered. People with REAL triggers don’t throw that word around carelessly. One thing i DON’T get triggered about is drum corps. Especially as a BD fan. If they win, great! The sun will come up the next day and i can enjoy another year of supporting a great organization. If they don’t win, the sun will still come up that Sunday, and i can look forward to supporting a corps hell bent on winning in 2024.
  15. I can never accurately guess where they are going, and usually am so far off the mark!
  16. Again, a claim based on YOUR metrics. I seem to recall unanimous agreement and popularity for Metamorph. With Ghostlight right behind.
  17. Yes. It should have won. And there were parts of it that i even liked,
  18. I was going to let this go, but it was insulting, so i figured i would explain. i loved Bluecoats since many, many years ago when they played Funny Valentine. Tilt was such as big step away from that, it seemed so unexpected and random to me, and I wasn’t receptive. And i am not a fan of dystopian stuff, angst, or doom and gloom. I get enough of that in real life. Drum corps, to me, is an escape. I like uplifting, happy, beautiful stuff. ARTISTIC stuff. But i can still appreciate what I don’t care for. maybe i am a BETTER drum corps fan because of that?
  19. Another case of hyperbole. I didn’t care for Tilt, and neither did the people sitting around me. We all had different reasons as to why.
