I've always said Into the Light has never been given the credit it deserves. 2007 was pretty darn good too. I love that show.

and happen NOW, even if they don't improve in placement. They don't need to go to Finals with this show.

As usual the corps is improving every day. The product is just not there.

Surely you don't think commentary here has anything to do with what PR does.

They need to stop hiring from within. Will Pitts is simply not up to the challenge.

Wouldn't it be nice to see/hear drum corps again without all the crap all over the field and no choreography ect. Last night it seemed like the music was just filler or backdrop for all the shenanigans going on the field. There's less playing and less marching and I am sick of all the running around on the field. WGI needs to go back to the gym and stay off the football field. I am all for advancement of the activity but I think those that have influenced drum corps in the direction of stage production have messed up. I'd love to see and hear modern music and drill. I have quickly lost interest in it and not sure I will bother watching next year.

BDs guard was incredible tonight. They don't like loosing and are letting it be known tonight.

it is looking high schoolish, as are so many of the shows. IMHO this WGI theatrical approach is destroying drum corps.

IMO the writing is cliche, same ole formula based on someone else's shows. It is disjointed and a bunch of phrases just stuck together. And I am so tired of a short intro with then a little ditty passed around to the different voices. How many time has this been done when it seems like they are trying to fill in some time.. And it's time to write out the soloists. The corps is sounding much better and marching much better.

So is it too late to rewrite the whole show musically because it's beginning to suck.

After having seen the show several times now, I have to say the music has nothing that is memorable for me. The music selections could be more effective if not for the fact that it is arranged using the same formula as all of Pitts' shows. The show starts and ends. That's all i remember except that there seems to be way too much emphasis on the pit. I agree with Tim, the show could be much more interesting and exciting with some rewrites. I also think there is way too much choreography. It definitely has potential and I hope see it come alive.

this is another winner. and just think what it will be like by August. probably a dog fight between SCV and Bluecoats for 2nd and 3rd.
