  1. sounds good. It's almost like the book was too easy, and kind of boring (my opinion), but the quality of sound from the snares is above what senior corps usualy reach, congrats!
  2. really! you don't see anything wrong with that Right hand? look at the thumb
  3. The right hand isn't much better.
  4. I see. are you guys too busy with Indoor to do DCA. I mean WGI is done in April, or are you guys just doing other things? I'm just asking since I saw a drop in the quality last year.
  5. aren't some of the North coast staff, on staff with Brigadiers?
  6. 3 years, Out doors or indoor ? what color? used by whom?
  7. 12000$ + 35% = 16200$ so you are telling us that you bought the drums 16200$ and are now selling them with a 35% discount for 12000$? that seems alot for a Battery!
  8. then, who thinks DCA would reward this. http://www.billandellie.com/sounds/TrumpetChristmas.mp3
  9. wasn't Brigadiers at the show? I saw they were supposed to be on the Brigs website (it still does say that) what happened, why weren't they at the show?
  10. The problem as I see it, is that very few are "able" to do it right with a nice sound and in tune etc... But ALL lead sops think they "are" amongst those very few. I have not seen that done well in Drumcorps yet. It's just like American Idol, they all think they can do those long High note, but in reality...
  11. who is the Battery arranger? sound very old School (not that there's anything wrong with that)
  12. Go to Brigadiers, I heard they have a bass spot, plus their drill is very much designed towards older members.
  13. Is this a forum where you can find out reviews or is there better sites for that?
  14. If you are talking about Brass to Winds, or desing to desing, or guards to guards I would see some Bands winning over some top 21 corps, but Percussion to Percussion no way DCI and WGI is where Percussion is happening.
  15. I think you nailed it right there. I would also add that there is much more crasy notes in WGI then DCI, maybe cause DCI lines have to tone down for Brass lines, and also it isn't a drum show. As far as what Jeff was saying, that the people that did DCI and WGI that he talked to found DCI "Harder" more difficult, it might be because you are from the east coast, but line there are getting better and better every year.
  16. "When Cadets did that signing drum part in finals, my jaw literally dropped. That’s the kind of innovation and creativity that DCA lacks but could capture" Just to set things strait, I agree with you but you must know that this talking drum thing has been done before by Mission Viejo, Scholastic World line in 1999 or 2000 I think so not so "innovative" But I get what you are saying.
  17. Are you guys seriously Hyping on score at different venues? oh my god! you do know that Bush did not beat Empire or Brigs yet? But maybe you guys are right, if you take in consideration how DCA juges have been going about recaps this season, it won't matter who is the best but just who is the best on paper (according to the season's recap).
  18. So Guards, Horns and Vis, it's all good, but what did you all think of the Drumlines? at the end of the Brigs Performance, I thought they were going to beat both Empire and Bucs on the field, they just had much less dirt then the other two. then I got to see the recaps, and ????? But for the juges defense I got to say that those ensemble problems have to be hard to just ignore. but they were cleaner and they play more up to date parts, in a very dated type show, it 's weird, I have said earlier in the season that I didn't like the Brigs show, I still don't (very boring) exept for the Drumsolo and the ending, but I do see that what they offer as far as percussion goes is very "up to date" anyway I like it better then eight notes diddle and similar paterns all thru the show. Dave
  19. That was Bush. they warmed up right by Brigs pit, I thought that was rude. <**>
  20. It is DCA we are talking about here! Look at the recaps, and tell me the aren't following some kind of paterns.
