  1. There is a function on here available to all users. It is called "ignored users." I could post so much more about political spin. I'll leave that to the moderators to control.
  2. I note what N.E. Brigand posts and see if it integrates with whatever I am hearing on the news - from more than one source and more than one network. He's been attacked often on here and all he does is report what he sees. We have the choice to pay attention or ignore him.
  3. So does spray-on hair if you don't get too close to notice the details. Which is why it's a perfect product for current times.
  4. 10 years ago at this time this is all we knew about Regiment's 2010 show. It's really quite something that 10 years later people still remember how this show made them feel.
  5. From what I can see online, Phantom started the year quite strong - they won every show they were in up until the end of July.
  6. 1990 Dutch Boy: Michael Cesario - Show Consultant Doug Thrower - Brass Caption Head
  7. According to BD's website, Rennick was an instructor with BD in '91. https://bluedevils.org/programs/a-corps/seasons/?module=staff&season=1991
  8. No - not at all. There was nothing in what you posted to be contentious with at all. I posted that from personal experience when I bought an office chair. Maybe I'm just difficult when buying a chair. The one I ended up buying is losing it's pleather surface 2 years later - and it took me a week of testing chairs to finally choose it. I had to put a cloth on it to prevent all the loose pleather from sticking to me when I get up from it.
  9. Liquor stores are considered an essential service here. They stopped accepting cash payments however. Credit or debit cards only now.
  10. I think a problem with that is you really have to try the office chair first before buying. Some look comfortable but aren't.
  11. From what I have read yes, chronic allergies can affect the sense of taste. Maybe it just wasn't that noticeable until the word "Coronavirus" was attached the symptom.
  12. I will worry about losing my sense of taste when I start liking furniture like this beautiful sofa.....
  13. The loss of taste and smell has many causes - including the common cold.
  14. So much different and sometimes conflicting information out there. Whenever I hear anything I go to Google to see who reported it and if other non-affiliated news outlets are reporting the same thing. I have friends who get their information from Facebook - some of it is really out there. Whenever I hear anything from them my first question is "Where did you hear that from?" When they answer "Facebook" my first reply is that they might want to check if the same information is being reported anywhere else. I live in an area that has a high number of positive cases and a lot of senior citizens so when I go out to the local grocery store I make sure to wear a mask and gloves. I see a lot of people doing the same thing. I was in line at the cash a few days ago and noticed they put social distancing markers leading up to each cash. The woman 6 feet behind me saw I was wearing a mask and remarked that I was wearing it wrong - I was wearing it correctly (funny she wasn't wearing a mask). She then told me that the best face mask is actually a maxi-pad. I replied "I won't be doing that." Yeah, I saw the photo posted last week of a guy in China doing the same thing.
  15. I don't know if it's been discussed, but what impact would this have on uniform companies like Miller, Stanbury and others? WGI, DCI and Fall Band circuits give them a tremendous amount of business. WGI finals was cancelled after the season begin, but with DCI being cancelled in March ahead of uniform deliveries, would the impact be significant? Maybe not so much if Fall Band is allowed to continue?
  16. There are drum corps in the Philippines (they also have a Marine Drum and Bugle Corps).
  17. There are many different types of posters on here, some come in groups. But JimF would be the one I would pick to readily admit when he was wrong. Maybe we could stop "suggesting" to people that they admit when they are wrong of that they "owe" apologies.
  18. Remember when DCP had the downvote option? One of the episodes of The Orville reminded me of that.
  19. The author of this thread posted this at the very beginning...
