Drum Corps Guy

So many amazing shows this year. Just amazing! Case in point, the Crossmen! These corps are all bringing it, and I’m loving every minute of it!

Absolutely loved their show last night. It sounded and looked even better than it did in Allentown. These words bring to mind their show: Energy, precision, passion, and confidence. Loved everything coming out of those horns from start to finish. I have no idea why they aren't scoring better this year! I think this could easily have been a top three show, and I don't say that lightly (coming from a BD guy). So many great shows this year, and the Cavies definitely have one of them! Loving this season of Drum Corps! So many deserving corps this year, those kids are leaving everything out on the field! It's going to be a photo finish!

LOL, I have the same problem! I work in a controlled government facility. I'm trying to figure out how I can do the same thing without loosing my clearance (haha), and no, I don't work in Area 51. ; ) People just don't understand until they experience the wonders of Drum Corps themselves. Met a lot of first timers in Allentown this year who've never been to a live show until that evening! They absolutely loved it! We're changing the world one family at a time. ; )

Going to try and make it out to Indy next year! Looking forward to tonight. This is going to be fun! All those in Indy, have fun and don't forget to give those of us who couldn't be there the on-sight updates. : )

Good Morning, Folks, If I may...at the end of the day, we must all remember that we are all on the same team, i.e. we all love this activity (I would call it a sport) we call Drum Corps. I think it's great that we all have our corps that we cheer on during the season, and there's nothing wrong with some friendly rivalry, balanced critiquing, and even some good humored ribbing at times, but lets not forget we are all on the same team at the end of the day no matter what corps we cheer on. Every one of these young adults who march, no matter who they march for, work immensely hard at their craft, rehearsing 8 or more hours a day, traveling the country, putting on these amazing shows for us all. We can have our favorites, though in my opinion, they all deserve our support, no matter how they place in the end. This has been one heck of a season in Drum Corps. I don't think I've seen it this close in quite some time. There's no clear cut favorite this year, and it will probably come down to the end, where these kids will leave it all out on the field for that one moment of being crowned DCI's 2019 Drum Corps Champion. Looking forward to this next week to see how everyone cleans up their shows for Indy. Believe we might have some surprises in placing this year. Have a great day!
