Absolutely. This is the same thing with people thinking Bluecoats won only cause of the big slides or something, gimmicks are a distraction from the elements of writing that make more successful shows more cohesive

This drill is beneath this corps both in terms of difficulty and effectiveness

WOW talk about an interesting night! Crown jumping Boston, but what I find most interesting is PC falling beneath a few other corps and Crossmen suddenly back in finals contention. This is bonkers!

It’s true obviously, but it’s been leading me to wonder if the FLO stream might be misrepresenting them things are always gonna be worse on the move but their timing is too good in the lot to not atleast show up as a probable reason that they’re winning brass

I implore you to watch a lot video, I’ve been in your camp on them all season but theres a remarkable clarity in the lot with them. It’s either FLO, on the move responsibilities or both responsible for the issues we’re hearing

I think one can be simultaneously excited and happy for the corps performance and continued existence, while also being dissapointed at the show design, because it’s two different teams working on two different things. I won’t speak for them but OP seemed to be referring to the show design itself, and considering 154 kids paid thousands of dollars to March the show, designers really need to be held more accountable when they create a substandard or lacking product that gives them a low ceiling of success.

Not a guard person at all but the weapon work during the jam out section seems really lax

It just sortof keeps going for a minute

Let’s see if FLO let’s us see the drill tonight (yes I know high cam is an option)

Vocals seem to be pitched higher which is a much welcomed change

Suppose you’re the person running the multi cam, and you forget to zoom in on the soloists. Why would you, then, awkwardly yank the camera over and zoom in instead of just abandoning the shot? This is a consistent FLO issue

Keeping it in might be a better idea from a recruiting perspective over what they might place without it, but I could be off base
