3. Thanks for the info guys (and gal)...did she ever get her corps in? Only a few left. Anyway, working another "Some people have way too much time on on their hands" type of thread. If you are so inclinded. Try and figure how many miles (through Mapquest) your corps will travel this summer. Hope to have at least one of my corps done by the end of the week.
4. Having marched a west coast corps, I know that locals tend to treat out-of-towners a little special. Especially when they think, “You’ve traveled all this way for a band show”. I’m just trying to figure out who’s traveling where. If I don’t have you state of origin please let me know. 1 Five Borough Vanguard, NY 1 Roselle Park Conquistadors, NJ 1 Cirque du Soleil Cadets, NJ 1 El Toreadors, NJ 1 Golden Knights, NJ 1 Tank Regiment, PA 1 The Blue Crew, PA 1 Kadence, OH 1 Ohio Valley Thunder, OH 1 Guernsey Cadets, OH 1 Potomac River Knights, MD 1 Mountaineer, WV 1 Tennessee Nipples, TN 1 Slobering Pansies, TN 1 Knights of Valor, SC 1 Tamba Bay Storm, FL 1 Oakland Skylarks, MI 1 Macinac, MI 1 Silver Crest, MN 1 Kosmos, IN 1 Fleur-De-Lis, IL 1 eXplosion, IL 1 Warrenburg Rebels, MO 1 Shadow Mountain Marauders, OK 1 Polaris, TX 1 Phantom Crusaders, TX 1 Golden Legion, TX 1 The Paladins, TX 1 coldfusion, TX 1 Machine, TX 1 afterlab, TX 1 wongbong, TX 1 The Blue Angels, CO 1 Brass Ablaze, WA 1 Silver Knights, WA 1 Emerald Regime, WA 1 Tri-Color, WA 1 Velour Knights, CA 1 El Gigante, CA 1 Black Devils, CA 1 Old North Regiment, CA 1 The Spades, CA 1 Mystré, NV 1 Mesa Marauders, AZ 2 Sons of Thunder, TN 2 Silver Knights, NJ 2 Blue Crew 2, PA 2 The Engineers, MD 2 Mountie Cadets, WV 2 Storm Troopers, WV 2 St. Pete Sound, FL 2 Bluewater Buccaneers, ONT 2 Overdrive, IN 2 Detroit Edison Lamplighters, MI 2 Chicago Enforcers, IL 2 North Central Vanguard, TX 2 Abilene Brassmen, TX 2 The Rocketeers, TX 2 aerofusion, TX 2 thunderwave, TX 2 Bleu Knights, ID 2 VK Too, CA 2 Emerald Brigade, CA 2 Menagerie, NV 2 Brass Ablaze B, WA 2 Twilight, AK 2 Matadors, ??????? 3 Cincinnati Glory, OH 3 Bronze Knights, NJ 3 Blue Crew 3, PA 3 White Cadets, FL 3 Chicago Sound, IL 3 Spirit of Chicago, IL 3 Lake Woebegon Crusaders, MN 3 Show Mountain Reserve, OK 3 Lubbock Lancers, TX 3 Midland Mystique, TX 3 Point-Blank, TX 3 hydrofusion, TX 3 Brass Ablaze C, WA 3 Rainy City Sound, WA 3 Raincross, CA 3 Enigma, NV 3 Star of Hawaii, HI S Albion Argonauts, NY S Roselle Park Matadors, NJ S Legion of Knights, NJ S Iron City Pounders, PA S The Mercenary, PA S The Marauders, PA S The Railroad Workers, MD S Tennessee Dust Farters, TN S Rochambeau, LA S Chicago Vanguard, IL S The Iron Brigade, MI S Westlake Regiment, TX S Imperial Ambassadors, TX S Knightmare, CA S Stainless Steel Brass Amalagated, WA S The High Rollers, NV S Genesis, ?????? 5. The Velour Knights would like to partake in the activities of the evening.
6. The Velour Knights Organizations welcomes another corps to Southern California. WELCOME
7. I'm the one that pressured El Gigante to get his corps in... :P
8. Quater-finals 8.. Velvet Knights..... 88.300 9.. Freelancers......... 87.900 We had a BAD show in semis. That with your great show, the switch happened, we fell to 11th and you guys to 10th. That's were it stayed.
9.
VK's Push was a classic 80s staple. Good call. When was the last year they played it, Bill? Did they stop after Savage left after 89, or did it linger a bit into the 90s? [post="1028652"][/post]
As far as I can remeber, it didn't get played after 89. Float I don't think ever wrote a cadence for the corps. Then again didn't do that many parades either.
10. Velvet Knights - Push Finds it's way into my head any time I have to walk anywhere.
11. The July 16th mandatory show, is that for every one, or just D1 or just D2/D3?
12. OR We can let both stand. If both pass Prop 3, states that if the number of corps is not reach then we can open it up to more corps as long as the director does not exceed the max number of corps. The max will be raised to 9 (3 per division) instead of the 6 now.
