Disney just announced their latest promotion! If you volunteer 8 hours for a non profit you get a one day pass to a Disney park! I just did the math on my volunteer work this summer! Looks like I have an annual pass headed my way! (I know I'm only gonna get one ticket! Just wanted to get the word out...)

Perhaps it's time to bring back the old retreat....Each corps has 5 minutes to play themsleves off the field, honoring the champion, then the field belogs to the winner... It always seemed to me that the Mass Brass thing took longer than the old retreat anyway....

After reading what was going on with the Blue Stars on the DCI page I thought about it. This swine flu has DCI written all over it! I hope the corps are being careful!

Do you watch the weather? Dear Lord it rains here every afternoon in the summer!

They really need to re-evaluate the Orlando and Florida situation. The show is always on a Saturday. Make it a day show, starting at 10 or 11 in the morning. Announce the scores and let the corps have the afternoon off to travel, practice, or enjoy the theme parks. Charging $41 a ticket when you are pretty much guaranteed that the show is gonna be a wash out is just plain dumb!

Funny, and not funny at the same time! One day the kid who's luggage was involved will laugh his butt off about this, but he's probably not laughing right now. Just one more reminder.....SAFETY FIRST!

And yet once again, there is a beautiful, BRAND NEW, stadium sitting empty right across town! How many more years of "Drums in the Slums"?

It's a Saturday night, pretty good show in Orlando, and according to the YEA site, Holy Name is in rehersal in Atlanta. Anyone know why they opted out of the Orlando show?

Audio problems in Orlando big time! They actually had to rewind the show and start over after half of the Bluecoats went with no sound! The sound was still terrible till Santa Clara, and even after that, it was only decent! My stereo at home puts out a better sound! How hard would it be to run a test around 3:00 in the afternoon with a volunteer drum corps person in the theater to tell them how to adjust the sound situation? This will probably be the last time I shell out hard earned cash for this! I could have stayed at home and had a better experience! I must admit, I did really enjoy the camp reports, and the sound for those seemed excellent! Go figure! I would pay for two hours of camp updates next year in early May! Are you listening DCI?

Didn't Phantom used to have a big bass drum with the Beef-a-Roo logo on it?

The rent a cops denied me access to the lot also, and all I wanted to do was get to my car, quite literally 30 yards from the gate I was denied access to. I literally had to walk about a mile through the "hood" around the stadium to get to my car, when originally I was standing 30 yards away from my car. Not good! Bottom line, the Citrus Bowl needs to be torn down, its old, falling apart, and has no use!

Was at the show tonight..Crown was smoking hot! Congratulations Crown! And a sincere thank you for a great show tonight, you are what drum corps is all about!

Just curious.... Has Crown even beaten Cadets?

Orlando has a beautiful new stadium on the grounds of the University of Central Florida. Why on earth would DCI book the Orlando show at the Citrus Bowl? Must have been a money issue! But to ask fans of DCI to go into that neighborhood yet again is pretty crass on the part of DCI.

The staff looks familiar. Are these the same guys who took Magic from 11th place to a pretty solid death? Interisting......
