  1. i'm not gonna get wound up about it, cause i'm about out of here again and really after tonight, it's just a ####### website in the grand scheme of things. but i will say this.... at least once a year we go thru some form of crackdown on rules enforcement. we fight, we ague, the crackdown goes into effect, and within 6 weeks, if not less, back to normal. happened under George, happened under Mike, has happened since Rich took over as the head FTSM. IF DCP wants to get really serious about this, they need to enforce this forever. Honestly, reading the posts from those above, the ambuity is incredible. I mean this is set up to basically invite inconsistency, which has long been an issue in DCP rules enforcement. I suggest extremely clear rules, 100% forever consistent enforcement, or basically make it so the guidelines continue to be treated as they are: a joke. we have people attacking people all the time....i know i have hit the report button in the non OT forums tons of times. never hear a peep. CE forum...oh god, i've even reported friends there. nothing. if DCP rules enforcement has one consistencty, it's the inconsistency, and nebulous guidelines don't help it at all. i feel bad for the mods...they are set up to fail and they get a ton of #### for trying to do a job that is doomed for failure. so create crystal clear rules...not like we have now...enforce them, or really, quit wasting time with the annual crackdowns. DCP is 5 years old, and this is probably the 10th time we've gone and on about this. i have a trash mouth...i'd be banned, so all i can say is "ah #### it" cya
  2. I know DCA has gotten away from some of the extra special awards....i mean we were fast approaching the type that were for "best lead sop line with no hair and sunglasses award", but one needs to come back. the best pit award and it needs to be dedicated to Sean Holton. thank you
  3. well my spree tonight may cause me to leave forever :P
  4. let's see typical DCP life cycle on rules enforcement: someone suspended, then rules change/enforcement/enhancement announced, big fight, 6 weeks later back to normal. one Sean's viewing is over i'm gone again. candyland is less sugary
  5. and he promised to knock you silly if you let a mallet fly again and it hit him :P
  6. I hope that place is big, because i smell a huge turnout
  7. i've been trying to hold it in since the family called me this morning. i can't anymore. Patty had been keeping me up to date and i spoke to Sean via text and phone calls these last 10 days or so. He sounded better every day and so upbeat. The last time we talked on Friday, he told me he was gonna get better so he could come back, join Shore's pit and show Gut how it was to be done. I could go on and on, and i'll break my goodbye rule elsewhere to do so, but I've known him for 20 years. My heart breaks for Patty who just lost her mother last year as well as the rest of the family. Sean my brother, we're flying in the missing man formation here with the HOF, and we will stay that way forever. You can't be replaced, and I'm glad I was able to let you know many times just how special you were. I miss you and I love you bro, and yes, as we discussed once before, for you, I'd drive to Jersey. I won't like it, but I'll do it for you brother. RIP
  8. uh no. hasn't since i first logged on :P
  9. voice. as i said at one point in the late 70's and early 80's, it was a 1 point penalty to use voice. then it was abolished.
  10. amp issues should be addressed upstairs in ensemble and ge, as well as ensemble percussion when in use. to make an amps comment about volume on the field is ludicrous
  11. well, hey gang......amps failed. not that anything can be changed, but it sure gives you all something to propose in 2 years if the new changes dont work.
  12. no you arent. many of us have...it's what helped build DCP
  13. yes and no. we were given the option to be exhibition when we found out about the 50 point penalty. (spoken as someone who was there trying to argue it was only a 49 point penalty :P )
  14. Fran, Strawberry Square usually is a ghost town on weekends...that they are open at all is a miracle.
  15. i think the fact that Phantom was part of the tie and the joy it caused everyone overrode any complaints about a tie, at least on the spot. and god knows Phantom was in one of those zones that night. it seems hard to believe that show was 11 minutes because it went by so fast, and the entire time you were just sucked in.
