  1. Ditto on the panel destruction. I wonder what would have happened if you had done it during the show!
  2. Last weekend in Pennsylvania I had the sad task of informing my corps that I would be leaving Nashville for new opportunities in Austin, Texas. It was definitely one of the toughest things I've ever had to do. I will never lose contact with my beloved family in Nashville but I also look forward to new challenges and building the drum corps family in in my home state of Texas. This time in my life is both sad and exciting. I'd like to thank the members of Music City Legend for working hard though adversity this year to produce a fantastic show for a second year corps. Thanks especially to the Legend hornline for believing in me as an instructor and getting the High Brass award in Class A! Labor Day Weekend, 2005 will forever be one of the most incredible moments of my life, right up there with making DCI finals with Star of Indiana in 1988 and marching with Star Alumni in 2004. I was reminded of why we work so hard throughout the year and why I love drum corps so much. Music City Legend became closer as a family than ever before. To everyone in DCA I can tell you with confidence that Music City Legend is on SOLID GROUND and you can expect to see great things from them in the future. MCL, I will always be with you no matter the distance and always will love you. FARFEGNUGEN!!!!!
  3. Well said, Patrick and thank you Lipsprain. That afternoon in the Wilkes Barre Econo Lodge parking lot was awesome and I'll never forget it. I enjoyed watching GCS loosen up and just let it all hang out and of course I really enjoyed getting to blow everyone away afterward.
  4. Kilties, It is very hard to express my deepest sympathy for all of you at the passing of your long time friend. Your second performance on Saturday, knowing what we all knew, was without a doubt the most emotional moment I have ever witnessed as a drum corps fan. The final gesture to the heavens by the single member behind the battery at the end of the show really choked me up. This past weekends events in Pennsylvania have really taught me just how strong the sense of family is in senior corps, not just from my own corps but from the Kilties as well. Love and peace to you all,
  5. I think the reason we're seeing shortages in places like Memphis and Jackson is because of all the refugees heading north from the Gulf Coast before and after Katrina.

  7. Nolan, Good to hear from you. Keep us posted on how things are going down there. Sorry you can't make it to Scranton. We'll do The South proud (along with CV, Alliance, HW, Gold and GCS).
  8. Same here. We have some room in Nashville for any displaced drum corps family. Vic Kulinski told me that Nolan Jones of the Jackson Generals called him last night but did not leave a message. Safe to say no news is good news in that case. We just want to know how the rest of the Generals corps members are.
  9. Jackson Generals in Mississippi and there's a parade corps in New Orleans called Southern Silver Star. I'll have to email Nolan Jones with the Generals to see how things are with them. I know some members of the Generals were planning on attending DCA Finals in Scranton thouh they will not be performing. This might keep them from making the trip.
  10. Besides some babies thrown on the field by an audience that got their faces ripped off, I'll leave a little blood, a good deal of sweat and lots of tears.

  15. That's o.k. I'll just give you H-e *double hockey sticks* the next morning! ^0^
  16. If thats case then I fully expect members of the Renegades to come visit MCL and CV... and we'll probably do the same. The Econo Lodge is just 2.5 miles / 4 minutes down the road from the Hilton in W-B. Won't be much partyin' going on Friday night for MCL as we have a job to do on Saturday. www.wilkesbarrehilton.com www.econolodgeofwilkesbarre.com
  17. I'll defer my original post to Vic's response below. Thanks, Vic!
  18. You mean for the friends and family each corps will be bringing along with them? I guarantee you the Econolodge in Wilkes Barre will be filled with all drum corps people, primarily MCL and CV! Man, what fun this is going to be!
  19. You aint got nothin' on the websites I could show you! ^0^
