  1. Let's not forget the movie version of Mama Mia. Dear lord.
  2. That didn't become a thing until after I aged out (back when dinosaurs roamed the earth). Of course back then there were two entrances to the cafeteria and all the rooms near the library were an open area.
  3. One of these is true: 1) The tarp is part of the off season visual program. It is an important tool for learning the dot system. 2) It is there to protect the members from the purple cobra that lives at the center of the Rosemont elementary school gym 3) It's simply a floor cover to protect the floor
  4. Beat me to it, but here is the vidoe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bHVQGct5vCg
  5. UW Whitewater - just crazy drum corps crowds every year for dci Midwest UW Madison - see above but add in finals fervor. Dekalb/NIUE - great crowd, big show to kick off 2nd tour, and great healthy (mostly) competition with PR, scouts, cavaliers, guardsmen, blue stars, etc.... Allentown - uncomparable atmosphere for performers and attendees alike. Bloomington - first time back in front of a live audience in over 20 years as part of cavaliers alumni corps, looked up and saw the crowd that stayed to watch and got misty eyed. The 5 or 6 standing ovations during the show made it seem almost surreal. Sharing the field with a group of brothers from every single year of the corps existence plus the crowd reaction puts this one at the top of my list. Nice field too.
  6. I'll echo Vince's comments. We had a great time performing that show and appreciated the crowd response. This was my first time attending DCA and all I can say is wow. What a great group of people. Nice to be around such a big group of drum corps crazies.
  7. Yes. The doctor suggested they get some rest by sitting down a lot while they perform. I think the Cavaliers have it avoided by staying in the fresh mountain air. Blue Stars are staying healthy by frequently changing the air filters in their factory.
  8. Not sure what we would call it, but I bet we wouldn't have any trouble lining up sponsors: Viagra, Cealis, Depends, Ensure, AARP, etc.....
  9. The version of Sing Sing Sing we are playing is a combination of the '57 (I think) and '81 versions. Sam was the single tenor soloist from '57. He is playing along with Dave Flynn who was the DM/Drum soloist in '81. All in, the alumni corps has representation from every single year of the corps 60 year history.
