um.....I don't favor the synth sound BUT.....what about those Spirit mellos I do favor them!!!! Keep up the Great work guys and girls!!!!! I hope those of you who don't like it will just let it be =) as a proud Spirit alumn, it may be a bit harder for me to play nice with some of you if Spirit gets heckled like Cadets. Oh and just for the record, I took up for the Cadets becaue I was able to ignore what I didn't like about their show and enjoy the rest.

I'm a "minority", and I assure you that the quota of non-whites that get the "same deal" that the "majority" get-- work just as hard to get an exceptional education as well.

Harvey, are you saying that the people that pick on other corps are the same ones that are taking up for Spirit in the this topic? Idk what those situations were about, but this one is pretty petty and the poster got the response he/she wanted obviously; otherwise, he/she would have chosen another way to state their opinion. Don't pretend that Spirit is in anyway DCI's "love child" and I am a Spirit supporter and fan!!!! Also, there are some Spirit alumns and fans on here, but judging by all the polls that we do on here there are just as many and a lot more alumns and fans of other corps here as well--because for the most part people will always vote their home corps for everything! If your thinking that there are a lot of Spirit insiders in comparison to other corps'--there isn't. When someone offends your corps then you should speak up, but don't justify trashing another corps because your favorite corps is getting picked on. PS. Trash talking has a time and place where it is more acceptable and appropriate. At the end of the day....It's all about drum corps for us all!!! Make Peace and help support the activity =)

Hmmm.....I hope that your attitude isn't this bad in person, but then again its understandable how one could be so bold on an internet forum. Since you are not interested in knowing anything about this show and have already made up your mind that it "sucked"--please do not come on here during the summer and ask what Spirit was doing during their show. If Spirit were to beat BS or Madison is Visual many of you would cry foul because Spirit has been visually dirtier all summer. Please, do not pretend that the OP is being rediculous. Lets just except his statement and the placement and if other judges aside from him see it differently then we'll know. Still that doesn't mean he isnt a good and fair judge--we all have OUR taste or preference. Too, wasn't there a thread concerning certain visual judges not judging certain corps fairly bc of whatever reason? Its only possible if it happens to YOUR corps, right?

I am a Spirit alumn/fan and I understand the OP's point.....but at this point my corps just has to line it all up in one show and leave no doubt. There has to be room for a minor judging error/bias--that shouldn't hurt the overall outcome in terms of placement.

I think the OP may only be concerned with the pack that his team is competing in i.e. Crown....if your corps grouping is not in that bracket of corps then its up to you to do the extra work and put it on here. So, when you complete the rest of the corps I will gladly view it because my corps will then be included. Some only care about the top 6 or 8--its called elitism, it come along with success.

Colts score dropped only 1.4 that happens from time to time. I hope SPIRIT can pick it up and run with it. Maybe Colts will bounce back. The competition is great this year =)

Anything can happen within the periphery of corps in relatively close competition with each other.
