  1. Haha! We'll flood the field with our near-perfect anime product. See you at Rosselle Park! ^0^ ^0^
  2. Ouch.... face full of metal.... I don't think he needs more Iron in his diet.
  3. *CONTINUATION OF PRESS RELEASE* As earlier stated, we had an interview with our Guard Headliners So here is the interview. Unfortunatly our "Shippo" was unable to interview for she had a test during the interview time, "Koga" was also unavailable because he was looking for dinner when we scheduled the interview: Reporter: So, where to start.... Well, first of all, I am familiar with the whole story of InuYasha so I can understand why you aren't sitting next to Naraku, Kagura and Sesshomaru. But let's get to what you all think of the competition being said throughout the DCP-I competition field? InuYasha ("IY" hence forth): Well, sounds like all talk, but I should be able to handle it. Miroku ("M" hence forth): Don't mind him, he's always his confident but I believe we will be victorious as a group. Kururugi ("Ku" hence forth): I agree more with Miroku in the fact that we should be victorious. Reporter: Ok, fair enough. This is for the ladies of the guard "headliners", as you've been called; How has the transition from who you were to your respective characters been with the unveiling of the show title? Kagome ("Ka" hence forth): Well, when I found out I was the "main" headliner along with our InuYasha, I must say I was pretty excited. Then again, the whole part to our Ballad is pretty nerve racking. Sango ("S" hence forth): Yeah, I agree with Kagome. Although I don't think my Lecherous Counterpart minds (shoots a glance a Miroku, with a red face, looking away from Sango). ::under breath "pervert":: (Reporter stifles a laugh) Kagura: Do you mind if I answer as well? (reporter shakes head "no") Well, when I found out the show I really wanted to be Sango, but when I found I was Kagura, I still believed it was a good move. I've grown to actually move and try to work with the idea. Reporter: Now to our Villians. Naraku and Sesshomaru. What do you like about this program and it's overall outlook? Naraku: Well, my only dissapointment is that I am defeated and treated like trash, but I also believe that our director is trying to really make the show seem like the actual series. Sesshomaru ("Sess" hence forth): Humph, I feel as though I have also been used like a puppet. However, like in the series I am not a used character and the director is respecting that so I am fine with his decisions. Reporter: Ok, now what everyone is probably wondering throughout the DCP-I fanbase. Is there anything, besides said moments in the show write-up, that is occuring between you and your counterparts? Ka: (Everyone's faces Beet Red) No... we've been just typical friends, except for when Miroku's hand accidentaly finds Sango's Bottom.... and then he gets a hand imprint... IY: Ha! idiot... M: Ahem.... it's not my fault (touches Sango's Bottom) S: (in songy-voice) Miroku..... (SMACK!) Naraku: Figures.... (all heads drop in disbelief, except Miroku and Sango) (Reporter Laughs) Reporter: Ok, now that that's been taken care of.... have you actually tried to mimick your character's moves and attempted to use them during a run-through? IY: Nah, I've tried to actually have an authentic Tetsusaiga, but no use... S: Trying to make and wield a big Boomerang is just way too much for me... M: I don't really want Miroku's Wind tunnel, but I have a staff that's like his... Ka: I have a bow and arrow and yes it does wrk, but no sacred arrows.... Ku: No weaponry... Naraku: I don't have any weaponry Kagura: Same here Sess: I have a replica "Tetsuseiga" and "Tokijin" but nothing like the original. Reporter: Well, I guess you shoul return to your fellow corpsmates. Be well and enjoy your summer. All: Thanks for having us for the interview. Hope to talk again soon. *THIS CONCLUDES OUR PRESS RELEASE AND INTERVIEW*
  4. *PRESS RELEASE TO ALL DCP-I DIRECTORS* The Potomac River Knights have learned 7/8th's of the show "InuYasha's Journey" along with 2/3rds of the Drill. Mr. Scott Smith, Corps' Director, stated, "We are very surprised with how the kids have taken a liking to our program. In fact, Our head Color Guard members have seem to taken a sense of responsibility in their rolls as our main characters. Our InuYasha is just a fearless of anything and anyone.... well, except for our Percussion Section which is ripping the chart all to heck and back, which is a good thing(laughs). We seem to have developed a real sense of companionship, although I think our lecherous monk has gotten a few too many slaps to know better. But in all seriousness, we have really started to feel the show and we may incorporate one final person as a head Color Guard... if he is able to pass the test we have placed to him. He will become Kohaku and add another twist to our story." We have also gotten an interview with the current color guard headliners who are our heroes. Our second Page of this release will have that interview. Word around the River is that The Engineers have also learned a good portion of their drill and music and the Brass arranger, Cody Ward, was quoted as, "We have a real nice shot to take Division 2 by storm. It all depends on the judges, which I hope aren't like TOB judges." *TO BE CONTINUED*

  17. *PRESS RELEASE TO ALL DCP-I DIRECTORS, FAN, ETC* The Mid- Atlantic Performance Series have finished their show write ups for this year's programs, "InuYasha's Journey" and "Animal Instincts" Scott Smith, Corps' Director, had this to say. "I am here to announce both the write ups for our respective shows. For the Engineers: 1) El Toro Caliente. Mr. Smith states, "What better way to begin a program with a fiery and hot off the line feel of a bullfighting arena about ready to rock with anticipation? This will set the tone very well for us." 2) El Gato Triste. Mr. Smith states, "This will still keep our latin flavor but will be mellowed out to allow our full brass sound with our very well rounded pit to entrap our audience in this fantastic piece. This will finally build into.... 3) Tiger of San Pedro. Mr. Smith states, "This piece will show our ferocious side as we attempt to blow the stadium down with our low brass pulsating and percussion rhythms. This piece will be a challenge to both the performer and the spectators for so many sections are featured that one will not know where to look. For The Potomac River Knights: 1) "InuYasha Opener" Mr. Smith states, "This will get the audience ready to transport back in time to feudal japan where our adventure begins. Here, our cast is introduced by the growing line of saber/ rifle users for our main characters. We will have all the known characters represented from our guard such as InuYasha, Kagome, Shippo, Miroku, and Sango along with our sinister villans Naraku, Kagura and Sesshomaru, Lady Kaede and Koga. Also, we will have two guard folks as our heros from the video game "InuYasha and the Curse of the Sacred Mask", the Kururugi's." 2) "Village songs part 1" Mr. Smith states, "We find ourselves taken into a village where we learn of our problem and what we must do to solve this. We also make our way toward a castle that has been seen harvesting demons" 3) "First encounter with Naraku" Mr. Smith states, "Our main characters find themselves face to face with their archnemesis Naraku. Though our heros try their best, the battle is for naught and our heros are defeated." 4) "Village Songs Part 2" Mr. Smith states, "We find our characters in a new area where they figure out what they must do to finally defeat Naraku." 5) "Every Heart" Mr. Smith states, "This will be a very tearful and joyus moment where out two couples, InuYasha/ Kagome and Miroku/Sango, are trying to find their true feelings toward each other, in this you will see a very brief hint of hostility from InuYasha to Koga, who is also trying to be Kagome's love. Near the end of the piece we find our couples in each other's arms and their loves are now known for their respective counterparts." 6) "Naraku's defeat" Mr. Smith states, "Just after our ballad, Naraku shows his ugly head and the final battle begins. After a good minute and a half of fighting, our title Character and the Kururugi's finish the job and defeat Naraku for good." 7) "Return to Present Time" Mr. Smith states, "This is an original piece that allows for one final goodbye from the Kururugi kids to InuYasha, Miroku, Shippo, Sango and Kagome as they return to natural japan where the festival is underway. The transformation is complete when our color guard change from kimonos to modern day clothing." 8) "Inuyasha Finale" Mr. Smith states, "This will show our triumphs and tribulations through our long journey and at the end our Kururugi friends see The five main characters for one final time before disapearing into the scenary." We hope you enjoy our 2005 programs. *THIS CONLUDES OUR PRESS RELEASE*
  18. Madison may be a contender for the Drum title if (and I do mean if) McNutt doesn't write so many dang notes. Listen to Magic 03 and Madison 04 and the book is too full. Hopefully Beddis will put Mcnutt in his place and hold back the reigns. I personally think that Cadets will win the drum title due to the number of veterans returning from sabbaticals/ injuries and from last year's line. Santa Clara? I dunno.... if the book is just the same as it always has been in the past, you'll see a good showdown between Cadets and SCV again. Cavies could be a sleeper if they add some meat to the book. BD needs to work on the tuning, I guess, (a bass player told me the tuning still makes the line sound dirty). Phantom won't turn many heads this year because they always have a full book that just cannot get clean. my predictions: 1) Cadets 2) Cavies 3) BD 4) SCV 5) Madison (if McNutt pulls back on the notes. if not, then drop them to 10th) (If Madison drops to 10th, place phantom in 5th spot) 6) Phantom 7) BK (Line could be trying to get back to 2000's 3rd place finish) 8) X-Men (Hazlett, new people, I'm not completely sold on this, yet) 9) Boston (Vivano needs some work, has good thoughts just needs more enphansis on cleaning and musicality) 10-12 I have no idea!
  19. My thoughts exactly Dentistman on Phantom Crusaders ..... and the same with what Steve said about real corps doing these shows. It'd be sweet to see and hear.
