  10. The Martin family thanks our friends for their loving thoughts and prayers. Your messages continue to offer us much support during these difficult times. We would like to update some of the information you received in previous postings. "Harvey David Martin Jr., 78, died peacefully January 10, 2006 at Carolina's Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. Harvey was born in Gloversville, NY August 11th 1927. He is preceded in death by his parents Harvey and Ethel Martin Sr. and sister Gail McKee. He is survived by his wife Shirley of 58 years, four sons, Harvey David III, Garry A., Timothy M., and Scott A. Martin, Niece Chrissy Lieberman, eleven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Mr. Martin worked as a sheet metal worker at Local #46 Rochester, NY. He was a dispatcher for the Greece Volunteer Fire Department (NY). He was involved in numerous Marching Drum and Bugle Corps and a member of the Rochester Crusaders Senior Drum and Bugle Corp hall of fame. Mr. And Mrs. Martin moved to St. Augustine FL and subsequently to Charlotte, NC to be closer to both their children and grandchildren. Services will be held at McEwen's Charlotte Chapel at 727 East Moorehead Street, Charlotte, NC on Saturday January 14th at 2pm. Over Labor Day weekend, a celebration of Harvey's life will be held at the DCA World Championships in Rochester, NY on Friday September 1st between 3-6 pm. The location of the celebration will be posted once it is confirmed. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Foundation For The Carolinas. In the memo section of your check please indicate the "Harvey Martin Drum and Bugle Corps Scholarship Fund". These donations should be sent to: 3611-204 Mt.   11. I played large Schilke's (20,18,17,15) for 35yrs. and recently found the GR 67m a little less work to accomplish the same result.

  14. The uni's were JC Penny's work clothes. My mother Shirley sewed and fitted all the extra pieces to the uni in our living room. The whole outfit priced out for under $30, shoes not included. With the people in that corps nude would have work also. David Martin

  17. On behalf of the Hitmen Brass Band, I would like to thank everyone who attended Serenade in Brass for the warm reception we received. It's alway a thrill to perform in front of such a drum corps saavy audience. Thank You David Martin, director Hitmen Brass Band
