  9. I'm just a drummer but....2001 cavies.....the horn lick before the throw down in the middle of the show...that triplet run...that was sooooooooooooo Earth Wind and Fire. Cadets mellos pick a year. ^:)
  10. Well, Mike, I haven't seen the video you mentioned (but I definitely will :) ) I have watched some old Cavies and SCV tapes and I can say that I'm anything but turned off. The video is not as good quality as the recent DCI stuff, but I actually liked most of those old shows better. I really appreciate the precision in marching and color guard - something I find lacking today. I can't say that I've seen enough yet to understand the "evolution of corps design" but I hope to get to that point someday. I can see things that have changed and I know what I like and what I don't like, but I don't have a good historical perspective on how the changes were introduced, how quickly, etc. But I'm going to have a lot of fun learning!!! -- Andrew Cadets 82-85...the first real changes

  13. Andy, I do love my job, i despise the hours, especially on weekends....if we could build a monday thru friday 9-5 store, i'd be tickled, but i am realistic. if i get a "real" job, i can get to more shows.
  14. as of right now(unless i get a new job) I will be reviewing the following shows this summer: Philly June show Hershey Reading maybe Butler DCI quarters, semis, finals. DCA weekend. I'll keep you posted w/changes and updates

  19. i saw the last show....not quite as great as NYC, but darn close. all corps fans should see it if they can.
  20. If all goes well, I will be in a very nice cohabitational setting this summer....I will also be looking to sell the duplicate cd's video's we will have, but also adding stuff to the collection to fill in the blanks. DCA/DCI/Alumni/WWF/WCW, it doesn't matter ^:)

  23. 91 all the way...i'm a drummer, so for a hornline to grab me is hard to do...but wow......that mello line polayed more notes than the drumline did! ^:)
