It would be awesome to see a Future Corps or Magic Kingdom Korps make a resurgence...even if just for a night at the mini corps championships!

So...if we use a baseline of say $2,500-$3,000 going from the performer to the corps (x 150 members) plus say another 500 auditions per top world class corps that do not make it, at roughly $200 a shot (not counting any additional housing or equipment expenses if applicable), the top corps have almost half a million dollars in working capital before a single show is performed...not bad. Factor in performance fee splits and prize money splits for every show performed, parade revenue, souvie sales, recording sales...it's easy to see why the G7 or 8 or whatever number it is next, wants to go long on its' collective own...just follow the money!

If you recall, Pitino also went on to insult the fans in the press conference referencing something like the fans were 'the fellowship of the miserable'. Pitino is an ########....though I get your point and it is a clever local reference, the guy's entitled to his opinion if he thinks what's on the field is no longer 'drum corps'. (Heck, even DCI references itself as pageantry...)

I'd put Bluecoats in the mix and say all three will be fighting it out for 6th!

I heard that this particular judge's nickname was 'Debbie Blue Devils'. Is that at all accurate or sour grapes? I only ask because I really do not have any idea but I've heard the nickname more than once. Anyone?

Difficult to believe, I know...

Neah...it wasn't a set up. It was just too dull around here and it's about time to start shakin the trees in the mini corps mileau...truth be told, we still have a lot of work to do but the show WILL rock da house! Key Poulan did a great job with the charts and Billy Solari and Mikey Cahill are doing yeoman's work bringing it all together. We are psyched just at the prospects for this show. When we get this bad boy cleaned up, look out!

This just in, Mass Brass had a fabulous rehearsal today and we are BACK and BETTER THAN EVER!!! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!

Mass Brass is in but we'll be lucky to just field a top 10 corps this year...sad really...

It's a slap at the judges with the 'school' remark and either a sour grapes or 'doosh'bag remark beyond that. Presuming the corps questioned were not worthy of the scores assessed versus what has been assessed further west speaks volumes as to your agenda...DCI takes great pains to have all of their judges follow identical criteria when adjudicating corps. I presume you know that...though perhaps such an assumption is 'inflated'?

You have made it past the most difficult part of making it to the gig. Now it's just practice, practice, practice and rehearse, rehearse, rehearse and you guys will get to where you want to be! Congratulations to Jerry, Rick & Paul for continuing to do Mass Brass proud and raising the bar at individuals! Lastly, thank you to Anthony and the entire BHOF for their well run shows this year. That could be true...but I'm hardly in the category of those two esteemed performers...ok, at least not Frank's...bwahahahaha...I hope that doesn't get us a penalty next year!!!
