  1. Correction:.........The Presidents HAVE a set of Black Pearl Drums. 5-4-5. ......We have "G" Bugles. We have Flags.........Nrw Unis. My Heart By-Pass has come out fine and we want to compete in DCA. Summer events are scheduled in the South , and slow Growth. Our website is being corrected. We have not been active due to my Heart surgery and our Director is from Marshall University. We ARE looking for a FEMALE Guard instructor. Our charts already have been written by an arranger from Blue Devils. We furnish food at rehersals and I doubt we will do more than 3 shows , So its an easy time to come reherse once a month and have some fun. The music is not symphonic style , but upbeat and fun. We want people who want to rehearse and have a good time once a month in Greeneville Tn.........The Presidents were Tennessees Drum Corps and placed 4th in VFW Copmetition in 1958. I repeat we are looking for a female Guard instructor.....NO MALES. .....Age is 18 or over. Bill Clendenon , Executive Director.
  2. B) Well all the letters have a vowel sound. I guess that neans something........... -Bill
  3. Mitch Markovich....A super fine Drummer
  4. Tomorrow August 19 is Mitch Markovich's Birthday........and mine (lol) and Bill Clinton. Mitch had told me he thinks its Don Warrens also. Mitch does not know anyone named Monica BTW. Congrats Mitch. -Bill
  5. I enjoyed the Cadets Brass performance , and the excecution of the Cadets Percussion. Great stuff and performed in a very precise manner. I was going to host Cadets in July but a Snafu came up. I am not a supporter of Cadets but the Housing was free with A/C. There are other corps that as a "whole" I enjoy more. Bottom line is , the Cadets had a problem with housing and I wanted to help. Bill
  6. Honest answer......Maybe you have a Condescending attitude. Is the average person Childish?? If you can only attrcat a microcosm of music realted participants , the audience narrows. Ypu answere are sounding like Fake Minister , super trumpet player "Dr. Michael Schmidt"......no substance. -Bill
  7. Musinaship was very good. Being a Non-music major its quite hard to absorb the intent of the music.......and with vocal interuptions. DCI has upped the notch for more literate minded music instructors , and Band menbers to atted contests. Do they realluy undertand the presentations? I still like DCA and for some people its still exciting. That was my intent. Props to those who understand Most of the shows out there. Classical Music is understood by a minority. I'm not one. I simply help support DCI members who don't have the money to tour. Tats my contribution to them. Not all of us are people who major in Music . I did at one time in percussion and that was it. I wish DCI the best. I prefer DCA. -Bill
  8. Thats what I meant.......The same , aka Sterile , Some of us would resort to DCA for Shows. Its simply personal preference. -Bill
  9. No........The epitome of Sterile. DCA would prosper (maybe its about time) If you can't absorb the answers , don't post the questions. -Bill
  10. Bluecoats victory tonight was just something you KNEW was going to happen.......and maybe again !!! -Bill
  11. I really don't think its different from College Band trips (nor High School in some cases). I saw two pregnancies the first time I got back into Drum Corps. Bottom line . its here to stay. We are not in the Elizabethan age.

  16. Its still not that clean. The thread always pops up. I choose American Drum Corps...... -Bill
  17. Nope.......I am remembering him from DCA in 2003 with the Royal Airs. He needed a pair of sticks from me. The photo you show is from knowing him in the 60's......He is a true friend ! -Bill
  18. A little more Salt and pepper in the hair ??.......Your still hard to beat Mitch !! -Bill
  19. I sent you a PM Steve.....No ned rehashing it and taking away from the good things of Spirit and Cadets that year. -Bill
  20. Knowing the show sponsors penchant for money I doubt he would have let it out if he didn;r get a cut of the money. I know the guy quite well and all he cares about is the money.......Not the corps.
  21. No need to react......They will not win. Have you and Hoppy been sharing the same nose candy and dreaming of Mushroom filled trophys?? -Bill
  22. Sure hope Hoppy does not try to re-invent the Cymbal Tree.......Then it would resemble Sanfird and Son.
  23. I still think Yodeling while Drinking a large beverage would put the Cadets untouchable......unless the Yodeller gets choked.......Maybe an auctioneering thing over the Amps would be a showstopper. -Bill
  24. Key phrase: They wanted to make it "easier" instead of working just a bit harder to acheive results........Glad the Marine D&B Corps has a sense of effort to bring results........For us , welcome to BOA. -Bill
