  1. Yeah Nate's a great drummer I always enjoy the time I'm able to drum with him up north. There's yet another name that I've gotten beat by a couple times!
  2. Wowww thanks guys you have no idea how honored I feel to be even mentioned hear, thank you a lot. But I have a feeling Hulka just wants me there so he has more people to beat ;) In all seriousness thanks a lot again guys
  3. Snares- Cru by a lot Tenors - Even Basses - Gren by a lot Pit - Gren slightly ensemble - Cru slightly that's how i see it, you?
  4. Great price! Most fun you can get for $10 Excelsior - Saw you guys from the side so I can't be too objective here. Drum line is pretty solid guys and if you added a pit your drum score could push you up higher than you are currently. WS - Pleasantly surprised by the sound the horn line was putting out (minus the oops right before the first impact). This young drum line moves well and plays just as well. They had a strong show tonight with the only weak part being the hit in the ballad. Good showing by WS Cru - The poster above me comments on calming down the drum line. There are two sides to this. YES I did notice from time to time some balance issues in from brass to percussion (esp. 1st drum line entrance after the ballad). On the other side, the talent level of the snare line is so high that that itself will lend to a deeper sound (they hit the drums, no feather tapping here). The technique of the snare line is so unified that I would not want to jeopardize anything by messing with it now. Solution = beef up the horn numbers. Review = Cool show, again better than I expected; the guard scores must be realll low because I expected this corps to be a bit closer to Brigs tonight (or were Brigs over scored?) ES - Strong showing tonight by Team Tux, I thought the horn line was pretty much right on. It must be a Rochester thing because this is another snare line LOADED with talent and they are playing at a very high level. Loved the announcer's attempt at ending the show early, that gave way to a few laughs. I think a few more bodies in the pit would help get that drum score up there as well. Great job guys Brigs - Definitely something different from the Red Team this year. Missin' bass 3? This is a drum line loaded with potential here as well and tonight they didn't seem to find click as well as they were earlier in the day. The more I thought about it I got to realizing that some of the ensemble uneasiness might be due to the drill staging. That is, at multiple times the drum line will be on side one and the horn line on side two. That, and some not-so-great listening by the pit made some of tonight's production unsettling. Watch out for BIG things from this drum line as the season progresses These are just MY views and are not associated with any corps I have been/or currently associated with. I'm just a guy tryin to enjoy a drum corps show
  5. After the show I was walking to the truck and what did I hear? A snare line. I was confused at first and asked my friend and he said it was Cru. Cru's snare line was practicin while everyone else was load trucks and sipping on beers. They were practicing in pitch black so I had to walk over and watch. I was so impressed with the work ethic (something that I'll say Cru's lines have always had) and the talent in the (snare) line. Cru won't give up, they never will. They may not be scoring where they want to (although the drum line did not come in the same place the corps did) but let me re-emphasize that they will not settle. This is a finalist corps we are talking about and nothing will change that until September at least (maybe [hopefully] never).
  6. Cabs had a member step in front of the boundary line
