  1. The CorpsVets winter gaurd, CV Independent, placed 3rd this weekend at the WGI Power Regional in Nashville, TN with their program entitled Strong Enough. We are very proud of our kids!!!! and a BIG THANK YOU to the members of Music City Legend that were there at a recruiting booth cheering us on in the stands. We really appreciate the support!!!
  2. The CorpsVets winter guard, formerly known as Atlantis, will be called CorpsVets Independent (CVI). The name change will help in the affiliation with the drum and bugle corps. The guard, a 2008 WGI semifinalist, will be competeing in Indepedent A and is a member of the The Southern Association of Performance Arts (http://www.sapaonline.net/) and Winter Guard International (www.wgi.org). The guard will be competing at the Nashville and Atlanta WGI regionals, WGI Championships in Dayton, as well as local SAPA shows. The guard is under the direction of CorpsVets color guard caption head Detrick Tilley. We are very proud of the young performers and we hope some of you get a chance to see them perform.

  4. Our group color guard picture this year had Park employes in the back ground. I too looked at my wall and I have bought a ton of pictures from them. You would think they could edit out mistakes.
  5. My vote goes to Avant Guard. Steve Hoffman is the owner/designer and he is INCREDIBLE!!! Steve designed and sponsored the CorpsVets Drum and Bugle Corps Summer 2008 uniforms and flags. He also does my high school group. His prices are also great and the craftmanship of the flags is like no other. They hold up EXTREMELY well.... Give him a shot :)
  6. CorpsVets had an Independent A winter guard this year called Atlantis Performance Ensemble. The competed at WGI World Championships and made semifinals. We were VERY pleased :) The group also made finals at the Pensicola and Atlanta regionals. And they were the silver medalist at the SAPA (Southern Association of Performing Arts) Championships.
  7. CorpsVets' winter guard, Atlantis Performance Ensemble, placed 3rd at Finals at the WGI Pensacola Regional last weekend in Independent A class. The guard put on a great show and we are really proud of them. Our next WGI outing is the Atlanta regional on March 8 then WGI World Championships on April 10th.
  8. Thank you for the compliment. It is our pleasure to help the kids out in anyway we can. Keep the applications coming in :)
  9. Congratulations to all of you!!! I saw ya'll shows in WGI replay and they should be VERY proud of themselves. CorpsVets winter guard, Atlantis, will be performing in two weeks at the Pennsicola regional so I hope we have some exciting news to report to....Looking forward to see ya'll in Dayton. GOOD LUCK the rest of the season!!!!

  11. My high school band director Steve Calhoun introduced me to drum corps. We would listen to 27th Lancers, SCV, and Blue Devils. My first time seeing a drum corps was at his house. It was the 1982 finals and I was hooked. Steve is now a DCI judge and winter guard judge and he was a former member of the Charioteers Drum and Bugle Corps. I credit him for everything that I have done in my life. He is a great man!
  12. Hey Guys!!! Count me in too!! This is my 5th year and my GOLD star year so I can't think of a better way to spend my summer than with you guys!!!! I love my CV family
  13. In Motion used the Charlotte Martin version.
  14. Well I was there performing and WE ALL DID A GREAT JOB!!!! Congratulations to the Hurricannes!!! It is always such a RUSH performing to the Northern crowds!! I had a blast :) It was really great to see everyone perform. See ya'll in Rochester!!!
  15. Thanks for the great reviews. I am a member of the CV color guard. Our uniforms are "dealer" costumes. We will be adding a garter for the arm and a visor. I have would have never thought of the barber shop idea......my mom asked me if we were doing a clown show when she altered my uniform HA HA HA HA...... And a big THANK YOU to the guy I met from Cabs at the consession stand who said he was glad we were there. We had a ball :P
