  1. Yeah, I'm sure they go to DC shows all the time and are offended when they hear their work... Yes exactly. Not sure I see where the harm would be.
  2. ok guess I'll just ask: did anyone download it? PM me please. =)
  3. Who says no to a youth organization that encourages music education?? That's just insane.
  4. For reals? Don't be foolin'. that's not nice you know....
  5. Not to mention it's important to the story line to see the dissent among the roman generals. (the unreturned handshake) QUESTION: Hasn't it already been announced the dvds will be shipped on the 10TH? I don't think us being charged indicates a change to the date... i'd love to be wrong though.
  6. Yep yep. It was very unpleasent at the tour of champions, and the first thought I had when the rose bowl was announced for 2007 was 'has no one told them about the lights?'
  7. want to get one, but don't see an opportunity to mention Drum corps planet during the paypal checkout process.
  8. Ok this is silly. I admit it, but I can't help but think of Phantom's all female colorguard. Then there was 2005's 'foot in the door'. Traditions fade quickly my friends.
  9. Yes. Tossing flags, adding valves, changing key... Those are, in fact, evolutionary changes. Adding completely new instrumentation (electronic keyboards) in NOT evolution. It is a REDEFINITION. The title 'Drum and Bugle Corps' is all but invalidated by this restructure of the instrumental make up of the activity. In all seriousness, on what grounds could you possibly argue against adding more instruments now. -

  11. Thanks for the invite. I really enjoyed last years Blue Knights recordings. Probably the most accurate recording of drum corps I've ever heard (closest thing to being there live) Guess this means no more drum corps recordings eh? This makes me sad.
  12. Yeah, lack of dynamics would be my complaint on these recordings. Because I am a horn player I'm bias toward wanting the horns to be the most prominent sound, but on the cds they seem almost too... polished? Like some of the edge has been taking off so they fit in nicely with the ensemble. I'm really making a mountain out of a mole hill here. The sound quality is great overall. It would just be my personal preference to have it a little more raw sounding. Like how it is at a live show. -
  13. Not only the first hit but alot of the show. The only thing that came though at a decent volume was the bass drum hits from the pit. And I know I'm setting up a lot of easy mean spirited jokes here, but the hornline is sooooooo freaking quiet it seems like something is wrong with the recording. Almost like that bass drum messed up the auto-leveling something-or-other?¿ And please, before the jokes start rolling in, yes their horn line does have less volume than some. But they are not THAT quiet. Also by contrast, the Cavalier Hornline sounds great on the San Antonio ADP.
  14. Still haven't received mine yet. =( The thing I worry about the most is that the pit sound overpowers the horns/drums. Is that the case with these recordings?
  15. ISOMIKE is a solution. NO compression, HUGE dynamic range. NO distortion. http://www.isomike.com/BlueKnights2007/
  16. No you should be posting! Thank you! elaborate more if you wish. What state do you live in?
  17. Well is seems no one has received a shipping notice... So I hope you are right.
  18. Did your friend get a shipping notice via email before he got the CD? Has anyone received one?
