  4. Yep Yep that's what I'm talking about... p.s. What's up Yentl dude!!! :P
  5. No I think he's referring to Long Time Fan because he/she mentioned BD wears their rings outside their gloves and clicks them together during retreat.
  6. I think he was responding the person's statement that he couldn't find any 'wow' moments; both musically and visually. If you can't find any visual 'wow' moments, I give you 'the floating circle of drums and the inverting triangle from the 2004 show'; just for starters... :)
  7. I thought I was the only one! I had to go and watch the video again last night to make sure I wasn't hearing things (according to the some of the DP'ers here this is one of the end all, be all brass performances of all time). But yes, I too, do cringe when I hear the bit hit in Canon....But I'm just a pit guy; what do I know... :P
  8. I was wondering that too...I guess that means Wynton Marsalis doesn't play music either...I"ll be sure to go by Lincoln Center and informed him of this.."Sorry Wynton, but that Sweet Release tune you did, it's not music".... <sacasm off>
  9. (hits myself on the forehead..duh) Thanks Paul, didn't even think about checking the alumni database..I hope so too; haven't spoke to him in years. :)
  10. Oh my, Paul please give Sam my regards if you see him again...Does he come to DCP anytime? Still the 'tool magician; that's hot...I remember he used to have this tool belt that had every tool on the planet....AND was still the pit tech...amazing!!!
  11. Haha that's hot!! And of course the guy with his head down....that would be me...Sam was a great guy...I stayed with him all 3 years I was in the Cavies..we had some fun times...:)
  12. 85 Cavaliers....for obvious reasons... :P The Planets (vers. 1) was very important in Cavalier history; new unis, the first top 5 finish in DCI and a new aproach in show concept. I like to think of it as the building block of the Cavies you see today.... :) Also 86 Suncoast and 03 SCV
  13. First Show:June 30, 1981, Sevierville TN (Pride of Cincinnati)-Score 47.5 Last Show: August 17, 1985 Madison WS (Cavaliers)-Score 94.1

  15. #### I knew I should have stuck around for the finals victory performance, but I had a long drive back to Louisiana at the time and was a little sad (it was my ageout year). Yes, he was an incredible marcher, so it doesn't surprise me that he made Do you have any contacts for him; unfortunately that was that last time I saw him...
  16. Yep, it was Tom Smith, a great person...I marched with him in 1981 with The Pride of Cincy...actually wished him good luck in the tunnel at finals before he jetted onto the field..not that he needed... but I dont think he ever came out the stands though; i think the tunnel was his longest trip... :P
  17. I wish i could too, then I could be in the anti-pit with Mistress Kelli
  18. OMG it's going to be an incredible season!!!! woot woot!!
