Congratulations. I was on retreat with the Caballeros and I was smiling as I watched the jumbo-tron filled with Ray Yenshaw getting award after award.

I'm happy you guys are "getting the band back together".

Many years of success for you!!

You're right Josh, this is something that started a few years ago. Remember Anna Grundle (Haha I can't even remember the real name of the school) last year in the pouring rain? You came up to me after we marched off the field, and we were both in tears, and you said you didn't know what "it" was, but you left it all on the field. It's been a great thing, first marching then watching the corps grow to the point it's at now.

Congratulations to you, and to everyone else in the 2007 Sunrisers... You made this alum proud :)

Yeah, I cried after that show, this year, before going on the field for finals, i cried before going on, then again on retreat.

Always wear a drum corps shirt, because you never know who you'll meet. This past Labor Day I was working, yea... IBM works everyday of the year - EVEN Xmas. Anyway - I was standing in the hall wearing the Murder in Manhattan Skyliner T-shirt when this guy walks by and asks if I was with the corps. Well it turned out he was a member of Sun's baritone line in the 70's and a former member of the Poughkeepsie Pacers. He was proud when I told him Sun won DCA Class A the previous evening.

I was stoked reading the play by play from my office on Sunday. My congratulations go out to all Suns members, it was a job well done.

It was great to "hang" with you and the other guys at retreat! I wish we could have had more time and it would be great to be able to drum with you sometime! Congrats!
