Oldbuc Posted November 23, 2008 Share Posted November 23, 2008 Any tics you heard were from Cola.Actually, that leads to a story. Al and I weren't the best rudi players in the world. Somewhere in the show we had a solo single seven that we could hit only about one time in three. Or four. On a good day. We had plenty of other sevens that we hit over and over but that one solo seven used to drive John Flowers nuts. Somehow, we would figure out where the drum judges were and if one of us was out of sight and could lay out, the other guy would play it. We never got tic'ed for it. The next year I moved to tenor and the problem was solved. I guess that's why Al Cola moved to the horn line.
