It was great to see you again these past two seasons after so many years, and to meet your son! He is a "chip off the young block!" We had a blast marching together in '79/'80! I work Saturdays as well and was able to get some Saturdays off, but it wasn't easy, esp. this year. The staff would be willing to work with an awesome horn player! That's why I'm always one of the first to read the music and the first to forget it! :P Nope, we did not meet. I don't think I met anybody really... I was just being a stick in the mud. I am not much for large crowds of people I don't know. So I was just sitting, drinking, and talking with some people I knew already. I am just kinda lame like that... but I will obviously make it a point to meet everybody this time. I honestly never thought I would come to a decision that had me coming to march Renegades (nothing personal) but now that I have the bug to march and I met the people I now have friendships with at RCR, well... it just makes to much sense to march Renegades and make some more friendships and drum with even more people. I have to say that has been the coolest thing about marching All-age corps... just marching with people who aged out a decade before me and becoming friends with them and hearing their corps experience and just drumming with some #### good players.
