Slow Adam
So, I was watching Spongebob the other day (I have a 21 month daughter. No, seriously.) and Squidward said that he had a date... with a girl named Clarinet (as he pulled his clarinet from behind him). So it got me thinking. With all the odd names you hear these days, do you know of any people named after musical instruments? Or can you think of any that might work? I actually thought that Clarinet could work, and Timpani. Any others? ####, I knew a kid in grade school named Timothy Paney, but I guess we were all too young to make the tim-paney connection. Northern Thunder
I've often written about drum corps members with unique names in my Drum Corps World column, but the ultimate drum corps names I've found were a couple of horn players for the Polish Falcon Patriots (feeder corps for the Polish Falcon Cadets) of Elizabeth, NJ. They marched in the early 70s, and their last name was actually Bugle.
