  1. If anyone is interested...I have a copy of the 1990 Legacy Collection on eBay...it was a duplicate in my collection. There's a bid on it, but it can still be had fairly cheap. http://www.ebay.com/itm/180770445120?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1558.l2649
  2. Just about a day left on this...still going pretty cheap! (less than 10 bucks!!)

  6. I'm looking to pick up 2 tickets for Quarterfinals ONLY. Location not horribly important. (preferably between the 35's, either high or low will do.) If anyone can help, fire me an e-mail to s_stepson@yahoo.com I'll pay face value, and shipping if you need me to. Thanks, Steve
  7. I don' t think I've ever seen this one mentioned... 1993 Regiment...during the first Mello solo. (Was that "The Wheat Dance"?) "Lassie, where are you???" ...that always cracks me up!!!
  8. I can't speak for all the groups, but I remember recording while on tour. I believe we did our session during Preview of Champions weekend in Ypsilanti. For Spirit that year, "Why do the Nations..." was our show opener, so the recording was the full corps.(Our arrangement, obviously.) I thnk ensemble size varied on the CD, with some corps only using small ensembles. Again, I can't speak for everyone, but there were no "ringers" involved. Hope this helps...I always liked that CD!
  9. I actually went to school with a piano major named Paige Turner... That's true, but we made fun of her cuz' she used to turn pages for vocal accompanists!! :P
  10. I actually went to school with a piano major named Paige Turner...
  11. Magic of Orlando 93 and 94. 94 was music inspired by Cirque, composed and arranged by Robert W. Smith. I think 93 may have had some actual show music in it.
  12. Nobody's mentioned Madison '93 yet...in the rain and all...!!
  13. It was there...beginning of the closer...mainly in the pit, if I remember correctly. The rhythms were elongated, (there's a musical term for that, but I can't remember it!) and it was re-harmonized. Took me a couple of times, but it's there.
  14. How has nobody mentioned the end of '95 Madison? I'm mentioning it, by the way...
  15. Oh, Man...Dutch Boy could have used the amplified whoopie cushion for their "South Park" show!!!...."Terence and Philip" drum feature, anyone?? b**bs
  16. Um...sorry. I must have forgotten to take my meds again...! :P It's all good!
  17. Well, if this is what all we can find to complain about these days, then I would say that Drum Corps is alive and well!!! When alto lines start consisting of 8 mellos and 8 slide whistles, then, by all means, complain! ...please....!!
  18. Maybe they could do Holsinger's "Easter Symphony"!! ...or "Russian Easter Overture"!!! :P
  19. You won't be in Pasadena?....good. Better seats for me.
  20. I dunno....Spirit's baritone soloist was the real deal. She nailed it every time I saw them. Bloo was good, too. Overall, though....not so much. Although both BD and Glassmen had nice contra solos.
  21. Maybe off-topic here, but is there a way to get a show in MP3 format that DCI doesn't sell anymore or that isnt for sale as a APD? Specifically, I'm looking for 1993 Spirit. (I know...not one of their most sought-after shows!!) I have the old VHS tape of it, but that's about it. (I was the Bari soloist on the 2nd tune, and I wanted to add it to my library) Thanks
