Mellophone Tech - Pat McGee Pat is thrilled to join the Crossmen brass staff for the 2008 season. He recently graduated Summa ### Laude from George Mason University with a B.A. in Music with concentrations in Trumpet and Arts Administration. At Reagan, Levi is the visual instructor of the Marching Band, director of Concert Band 1, co-director of Concert Band 2 and the Jazz Bands, and assistant for the Wind Ensemble. Levi marched from 2002 to 2004 as a lead trumpet in the Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps (DCI World Champions: 2002 & 2004), toured Japan with the corps in the fall of 2004 as a Yamaha guest clinician and served on the brass instructional staff in 2007. Levi has extensive experience instructing some of the best high school marching bands in the nation, including Spring High School from Spring, TX (his alma mater), Prospect High School from Mt. Prospect, IL and currently Reagan High School from San Antonio. In his spare time, Levi enjoys spending time with his fiancée (Amanda), their dog (Zeus) and staying active and healthy by competing in multisport events (duathlon/triathlon). “As the new Visual Caption Head of the Crossmen, I’m very excited to work with a talented drum corps that has such enormous potential! I hope to build upon the proud traditions of the Crossmen and ensure that we continue to make our mark as a top-tier drum corps from Texas!” ________ Also new to the staff is Jaime Oakley, Carol Chambers, Adam Farley... xbones7480
Wow a lot of alumni from Crossmen, Santa Clara, Cavaliers, and Bluecoats on staff. Looks like they're are going for a more local staff this year too so that folks are full time instead of drop ins. This will probably cut down on airline costs for out-of-staters too, which could cost up to $25,000 a year. SMART MOVE! Good luck Bones!
